Unhappy KJW P226 mag leaking

Before I gamed this magazine, only once I might add I lubed all the proper parts of the mag beforehand with TM silicone oil. I've looked at and tried everything within other threads and those I've looked up on google and youtube to no avail.

I've replaced the O ring just in case that was the problem, tried soaking the fill valve and the large O-ring in silicone for 24 hours, using teflon tape underneath the gasket O-ring and nothing fixes it. The gas still leaks but instead of leaking from the fill valve instead it leaks from between the base plate and the main portion of the magazine. I tried placing a layer of teflon tape on the outside of the mag but it still manages to release every time I try filling the mag.

Is this a magazine defect or is there some practical way I can repair this? The magazine is the original one that came with the gun. I ordered another from airsoftparts.ca but it is stuck at the warehouse just sitting there since they decided to go on a nationwide site the day it was sent out.. so any help on this issue would be much appreciated from some of the more experienced gunsmiths here.

I had this problem with one of my 226 mags, look for the blue gasket tutorial on here> It'll fix it, but make sure you let it cure for 24h nefore filling the mag.

It's a common problem with the pin style baseplate mags. Use gasket maker or something similar (I use plumbing Goop brand stuff, which is adhesive/sealer that stays pliable) to fix them.

I'll give that blue gasket sealer a try and see how it goes. Thanks for the suggestions.
