New to airsoft few questions
Hello.
I'm New to the site and just got my first air soft rifle today actually.. Yet im very familiar with weapons, been in the military for about 5 years and few tours under my belt with the Canadian forces. Anyways my question was, i just got an ICS CXP.08 it runs nice and i put a holographic sight on it already, and its zeroed in perfectly. How long do batteries usually last when you go out for the day and how many packs do you bring with you and bb's? and were can i find parts and accessories for this rifle? Thanks guys |

first off, welcome to ASC. first step is to get age verified and fill out your location. from there, you can look on the classifieds for accessories. as for batteries and bbs, it depends on a few factors.
Batteries: - what is the weather like? - are you trigger happy? - what is the fps of your rifle? the colder it is, the faster your battery will drain. just as well, a higher fps will lead to a faster battery drain. from personal experience, i bring 2 batteries to a game. you may need more, you may need less. the amount of bbs you use also depends on your play style, if you rely on pray and spray bring a s**t tonne of em, if you are more controlled, that bag of 2000 bbs might last you a couple games. as stated before, this is just from my experience. your best bet, go to a scrim and get a feel for it. the more you play, the more you learn. try to go out to the field with someone who has been in the hobby for a while. this is my second season here and its great. keep a level head, and watch out for the old guys. there bark is worst then there bite XP |

Hahaha thank you.
I have contacted someone in my area, so i will meet up with him once im back home. Glad its another military guy, so im sure ill make it to a few games if possible. Im not to trigger happy, im more of a see and shoot, type of guy. I bought the stock ICS cxp.08 and i might play with it for a while maybe till summer and upgrade the motor to something better. Not sure tho!, lets see how it goes first, i guess. I'll try and make it out to some games for sure but i have people i play with already in port hope, we have about 40 acres of land and its pretty intense with all us army guys, once we get going, we do some pretty cool missions and scenarios. Thanks for the info tho, i appreciate it. I was thinking of getting 1 or 2 more batts and some extra bb's and maybe the tracer kit looks pretty cool. |

airsoftparts.ca has tracer units and it is a canadian site. If he doesnt have them now you can do a preorder and he will get them for you from another website

You should be able to find a tracer that threads on like a silencer. Tracer ammo is pricey though and for the most part in the day time with white BB's you can see them anyways.
If you want to do a tracer effect during the day time do this. Get a bag of black BBs Get a bag of white BBs Pepper 20/80 white to black. You now have a tracer mix. |

Biggest thing will be positive or neg threads how ever iirc 14mm is the most common. How ever slip ons are not uncommon. Can you pull your flash hider off?

However in dark indoor or night games...they are AWESOME. Especially if a few people are using them. Quote:

When you buy from a site you're not dealing with an individual. Which is what it seems like you're concerned with.
