Weird sound when firing ICS M4

YouTube - Wierd sound on ICS M4

Anyone know what might be causing this?
The gun seems to shoot fine but this sound doesn't really seem healthy. Would this be a motor height issue? Sounds like a squeak.

Is it the little higher pitched sound you hear as it`s cycling through?

Bump.

Problem seems to have gotten worse. Gun still sounds like crap when fired.. but now there is a selector issue. When on semi.. sometimes the gun locks up.. and seems to only half-cycle (even though I'm using a proper trigger pull). Gun also sometimes fires a weird fragmented auto when the selector slips halfway to auto or safe. Would this have to do with the selector contacts being worn or something?

Lower your motor.

Should be a grub screw or a slotted screw on the bottom of the grip. Back it off slightly while test firing to see if the sound improves.

Should I be looking for just the sound of the piston popping and the grinding/whining gone? I'm not exactly sure as to what it should sound like...

/noob.

The bevel gear have to be changed.

It is two pieces and breaks apparts very easilly. Every recent ICS rifle does that.

There is at least one thread like that a week.

The previous owner who I bought it from just added a tightbore, piston and a shredder's concave spacer.

To test if it is the bevel, break-open the receiver and hold the sector gear steady with a flat screw driver. If you can hear the motor spin and grinding sound but the sector does not or barely moves, it is the bevel.

You should change the whole gear set while you are at it. Modify non-modular are great little gears. You have to re-shim everything when you change the gears because the new ones won't be exactly the same.
