Small body custom kit adjustment.

I've been tinkering around with this for about 2 weeks now to no avail. I'm a very small guy and I need to adjust my RRV (I think that's what it is?) to fit my size. I'm trying to bring both sides to the middle of my hydration pouch and connecting them via the MOLLE panel on the back (as seen in the red marking), but I can't seem to decide on how. I've considered cutting the straps (pink marking) and just using the removed straps to attach the MOLLE panels, but I would prefer to leave the straps intact in case I ever decided to purchase a plate-carrier to wear underneath.

Any suggestions on how to go about connecting the MOLLE panels without removing the straps would be great.

I'm going to take this time now to help my situation by eating a couple greasy burgers and fatten myself up! :P

Thanks,
Whitey.
