WE Luger mag fill valve problem

The mag fill valve on my luger is leaking. The outer O-ring is fine. It is leaking from within the valve. I tired drops of silicon oil but it has had no effect. Right now I'm letting the valve sit in oil overnight and I'll see what it does tomorrow. Beyond that I don't know what else to do besides replacing the valve. Could the spring be worn out in the valve?

Crunchmeister has this problem also, I think he fixed it with some Teflon tape but I could be wrong.

I bought a WE Luger and I'm hoping I don't have the problems you guys do...

So, have you found the way to fix it? Where can I order an extra mag for WE Luger?
Thanks.

My valve is fine, actually. My mag is leaking around the main seal around the base. It needs a new o-ring.

have any of you guys that have had trouble with the o-ring experienced any complete depletion of your mag? like for instance, my luger's mag leaks as well, but when i do fill it with gas and attempt to fire it, it releases all the gas and only fires out one BB. have any of you had that problem?

thats a problem with your gun, not the mag, unless the fill valve is stuck open, but I put my bets on the knocker delayer not retracting

Not sure if this helps you or not, but I fixed a couple WE mags I find that the ones in the Luger mags a poorly made, unscrew the fill valve, then with some good pliers carefully unscrew (don't crush or damage the body) the top of the valve (silver) from the bottom half (copper/brass) of the valve, you will have insides consisting of a spring and filling pin assembly with a small flat rubber washer. I expanded the spring to lengthen it (puts more pressure on Filling pin), then I put the valve back together... When you put the valve back in the mag place a small peice of teflon tape around the threads and ensure no loose peices are inside the mag.. where the propane fill spout hooks to the valve there should be a very small O-ring, mine seems to always fall out or blow off, replace that with a better version... You can find how to fix fill valves on the Net, but sometimes it's better just to buy new ones.... if you want some pictures I can take some and post them

After thought, I have noticed that the luger has some very finicky parts and workings... lots of research on the Net, there is one modification on the Net that fixes the gun when it fires one BB and seems not to want to fire the next or even lock the receiver back on the last BB, it involves disassembling the trigger/hammer assembly and grinding certain parts... this fix works great and I do suggest doing it, when you take a close look at how the mechanism works you can see the problem that the designer made.... there are also other parts inside that if not tweaked or locktite added could pose possible issues in your future

Nope. Just the o-ring issue for me. If your gun is venting its gas, then the issue is with the gun, not the mag.

Just so you know I did not follow all the instructions this guy did, cause I couldn;t find a lighter with the right O-ring type, so I made my own...http://www.airsoftportal.ph/forum.ht...atid=33&id=212

The next part shows the fix for full auto/ misfires
