CO2 valve...wtf
I've got a kjw co2 mag and since new its had a slow leak, decided to replace the valve, however, after 3 new valves i have not found any that work. I've tried nineball, guarder, and some cheap action one.
The problem is that there is too much pressure from the co2 and the hammer cannot press the valve. I'm using an upgraded hammer spring and i even shimmed the hell out of it to get some insane knocker impact but still nothing. I even have a hard time depressing the valve with tools. The cheap valve actually protruded so far after a minute or so in the gun that it effectively jammed the mag in the gun and i had to bleed off the co2 to get it out. How is it that a shitty leaky kj valve will work just fine aside from the leaking, but other higher quality valves dont work at all. I compared the new valves to the original before installation and the only thing i can see that would be causing this is exposed surface on the inside of the valve, the original valve had a very small plunger on the inside, whereas the the nineball had a fairly large surface area in comparison (increasing the psi exerted on the valve making it impossible to activate). But the other two only had slightly larger surface area and still would not work. Are there special co2 valves out there? If so i cant find them and any help would be appreciated. I've already ordered a replacement mag but i would still like to solve this one if i can. |

I've been using co2 for a long time and the gun is fine aside from a few o-ring replacements. Helpful answers only please, address the issue.

valves
Hi
Did you ever find a co2 valve yet? Mine leaks as well, I put an aftermarket valve in(Action I think) amd when I put a cartridge in it instantly blew the guts out of the valve and sent them into the wall. I have greengas mags as well but I would like to get the co2 back up and running. I have searched everywere and come up with nothing. |
