I'll take another pic in a sec, but the hopup wasn't really touching the receiver at all. I'll remove more material, just to make sure.

Ordered a new ARS Cylinder head, Guarder Clear bucking and a new nozzle, just to make sure.

Yeah but the thing I don'.t get is why I had no problems before. I'll try swapping buckings, and reinstalling the hopup, maybe there's something there.

+ 1

ARS makes great products. When I start my 41) project, half of my interals will be from them.

Well I installed everything.

I get readings of 270-290 FPS on .2 (240ish on .28, used the calc on BBbastard.com)

It's not as consistent as I'd like it to be and much lower that I would've wanted, but I guess the problem now lies in the hopup.

Also, when I put together the lower with the upper, I need to insert the whole lower with the nozzle a little bit into the hopup before lifting up in order to pass the plastic tabs.

I guess it's as good as it's gonna be with that setup. Hopefully, a metal body, and a new hopup will fix the problem for the next season. At least, I got a gun that's shooting for my last game of the season...

EDIT : Just while opening the receiver to add teflon to the hopup, to hopefully gain a few more fps, my fps dropped to 120 fps... with .28...

This gun is really heading to the garbage.

Yes!

Installed Conker's JG hopup (Pot metal) with a stock inner barrel which I guess is JG as well (6.08?), I'm getting 308 fps with .28, which makes 364 fps on .20!

I'll reinstall my guarder bucking and my madbull tightbore and we'll be golden!

Thanks to everyone here, after lots of sweat, blood and beer, it's finally working!

EDIT : Just to add, the JG hopup is slimmer than the Madbull, and I noticed that the screw holding the barrel was slightly too long. It was putting down pressure (really small) on the inner barrel, causing the hopup to bind. I unscrewed the screw and install my thickest shim, and used the JG hopup. It's all perfect. And I'm getting quite a good airseal, for what it is : +/- 5

We'll see with a Promy Neo! :P

EDIT2 : Added the Guarder sleeve, and the tightbore. I'm getting reading from 260 to 335 fps on .28, so that's almost a 200 FPS jump... I'll play with it this weekend and with some better teflon tape.
