G&G Front sight?

I was wondering if the front sight on a G&G R4 commando is Removable and how I can. And i know i need a gas block to hold the rails on because they are not free float rails. Thanks

there are 2 pins that go through the front sight at the.bottom.simply remove them with a punch and hammer.the metal pins are soft.remove the flash hider and the sight will slide off.

Doesn't work, there was many threads about this before.

Be sure to use this http://www.airsoftcanada.com/search.php?do=process

EDIT: Pins are prosthetic, front sight is sorta wedged on. So you need to buy a new outer barrel if you want to mount a non drop in RIS unit,

If you can't get it off, then you can try sawing the upper part off, then filing it and maybe painting the sawed places over, for a more purdy look.
I know, it's not very pretty, but if it's your only option...

You want to keep your iron sights on. If your battery dies on field then what are you going to do? I have the exact same gun with a red dot and i still have both of my iron sights on..

ya but with a 552 holo sight changing 2 AA batterys can be done in less than 30 secs
Im going to change the barrel to a king arms 14.5 inch barrel so then i can get the look i want.
also to the post above there called flip up sights and there never there until you want them
