mask problem

i just got a full face mask from velocity arms (nice guys all around) but on the clear plastic part where you look through a bunch of flaky shiny stuff is coming off on both sides. anyone know what this is? i cant seem to get it clean.

That was the coating that semi stopped fogging, best to get a hold of them to let them know. Did you wet the lens by chance? There was a bad batch in paintball masks a few years back that if you applied and antifog spray to them, it caused the same issue.

yes it did get wet, and i didnt know what it was and i took a damp cloth to it and it just made it worse. will velocity arms replace it, or at least the clear part?

so i wiped all the shiny stuff off now, and it fogs after 30 seconds of wearing it. if i put some anti fog stuff on it will it just flake off again? ive emailed velocity arms but havent herd back from them. is this still safe to use in games?

f the goggles are new it sucks on their part.

you can replace anti-fog by using a coat of dishwashing liquid.
spread a layer of it and don't touch it during the game.
If it gets foggy just shake the goggles to ventilate

Or use Johnson and Johnson liquid baby soap, wipe a little on, let it dry for a bit, then polish till you can't see it. Works for days for me.
