Rail Woes :D (WOES!)

Hey guys. I asked this question in my AK thread, but I didn't get an awnser. I'm emailing a company later today about scopes, and I need to know the awnser to this question so I can get the right scope. Basically, in a nutshell...

Pasugani sold me an AK rail. He says its 20mm rail.

What is 20mm? Is it weaver? Picatinny?

Whenever I'm looking for scopes or scope rings, the information always says like "Scope ring 1inch for weaver rail".

So, you can see my problem. I've tried searching google and I don't get anything with a straight awnser.

-Josh

EDIT: You can see the rail here: http://www.matchstickglobal.com/images/IMG_0551a_g.jpg

(I believe thats the same one as mine. I'm not at home, I'm at work so I can't check.)

you will be fine with the weaver rings.

Quote:
The only differences between the Picatinny rail and the similar Weaver rail are the size of these slots and the fact that they are standardized. Weaver rails have a slot width of 0.180 in (4.572 mm), but are not necessarily consistent in the spacing of slot centers.[2] Because of this, accessories can be and are designed to fit on both Weaver rails and Picatinny rails; but most Picatinny devices will not always fit on Weaver rails.

Awesome. So from what that says...

Weaver will fit on picatinny, but most picatinny wont fit on weaver.
