The stock adapter screw on the bottom of the faux buffer tube is the one that goes into the lower, but it doesn't touch the mechbox.

I have a early model M16A3. with flora pin, stock retaining screw into the lower reciever. Best investment so far. Still running the T2000 motor.

LOL, well it seems ICS has been messing with
the design every release. So what we all need to see are some close digi-pics of the trapped lower mech. Show some different angles. Help us to help you!
