When I got my VSR a few weeks after they were originally released I sourced a laylax 150 spring and did the upgrade myself. I had some teflon tape here and tefloned any threaded join when I put it back together. My gun shot just as hard as another local sniper's VSR with a Laylax 170 spring and no teflon... His gun had a few other issues as well, but that was when he was first learning to upgrade. Anyway, I took his gun apart, tefloned it all up and it started firing great. It made a massive difference on my VSR so it stands to reason that it is a good mod. Amazing what a bit of teflon tape can do...

USR 11

I am getting two HFC USR 11 rifles one spring powered and the other green gas.
Do you know if the one with green gas will handle the presures of co2? I know it will likley shoot too fast for game play but thought I might try it if there is no fear of it braking something in the gun.
also what upgrades should I get for the spring one? I want it to shoot around 500 to 550 fps.

Any advice would be helpfull

the USR-10 gas model will handle red gas for a few rounds before things break on you. just stick to propane ok? but hey the USR is a cheap gun to buy especially even cheaper in the states so who cares if you use red gas on it (don't forget to tell us the results after)

for the spring USR, if you want to go the economy way, get a laylax 130-150 spring with some sear upgrades then teflon tape the internals to make things airtight, remove the "real shock" weights.
