Exclamation Re: Bolt Catch vs Bolt Carrier (WE receiver vs Ra Tech compatibility issue..?)

Hi Guys ,
For the cost of parts , and having a TIGHT budget (but still want best upgrade parts) I REALLY need to avoid such problem , after seeing theses two short section of video about Ra tech premature wearing steel vs steel parts :

(1) check at 3:30min https://youtu.be/oDitz6kqIVg

(2) check the whole https://youtu.be/igQKxEN8tcM

in your own opinion could you tell me wich Ra tech open bolt carrier unit you would purchase to install on my WE m16a1 and specifically why (the reasons) in order to avoid mentionned issue of prematural wearing on both steel agains steel parts

Guys , Let me know your toughts about this specific issue and tell me if you know a talented Tech in Montreal/Quebec/Sherbrooke Area who i could be able to trust his work and be able to get rid of this issue before i start using my unit.

Currently waiting your personal opinion/thoughts about this speficic issue !
Thanks

Any of the RA-Tech bolt carriers will require some sort of modification (filing/grinding) in specific areas, depending on the tolerances on your rifle.

RA-Tech does not have a good reputation of working, out of the box parts. If you're new to gas guns and want to play more than tinker, I would suggest in my opinion to stick to the stock bolt carrier, or a new stock bolt carrier rather than a RA-Tech one.

If you like to tinker and are open to the idea of grinding and modification, then get the RA-Tech bolt carrier.

There is no aftermarket bolt carrier for the WE m4 that is indestructible; the steel will wear out no matter what unless you get some sort of custom cnc machined bolt carrier with high-quality, heat treated carbon steel.

two questions:

(1) its not what Ra tech offered in 2015 ...new hardened heat treaded carbon steel for their new M4 bolt carrier ?

(2) where i can order a WE m16a1 spare stock bolt stop & bolt carrier parts online ?

Ra Tech bolts usually come with the bolt catch if you’re buying new.
