madbull ultimate heavy 0.43g sniper bbs

What the heck are these things made of? When you cut them in half it almst looks like there is some metalized powder mixed in with the plastic.. they are definitely heavier, but are they harder? They feel almost gummy and I can not for the life of me get these things to feed properly in my GHK AKM... the feeder gets jammed every couple of shots. The madbull 0.36s work fine however, have a much nicer polish and seem to be harder..
Anyone else having a similar issue with these bbs? What is the general opinion on them?

They are probably using metal to get the weight. As you increase in weight sometimes you get a slight increase in overall diameter which would cause jams.

Yeah I checked about a dozen of them with a digital caliper and they were all pretty close to 5.95 as I thought that could be an issue.

IS it jamming because of the increased hop up pressure needed to lift them? I guess i'm asking if they still jam with the hop turned down.

Try adding a drop of silicone oil to your mags. Some mags have really poor springs and can't push heavy bb's properly.

Ill give that a shot (haha) when I get home.. but generally I would think you wouldnt want a lot of oil on the bbs going through the barrel because it will affect the spin... like a knuckle ball or 'spit ball' no? Ever rub vaseline on a baseball and try to throw it straight?

Ive never had any issue with the .43's from madbull. 5.95 is a good size. Some bbs are 5.98 +/- .01mm.
id say its the mag spring or perhape a bad batch of bbs. I will inspect when i get home to see if they are softer than .40 and .36's.
as for the metal id say its likely graphite. That is what the str8 .36's were coated in and they are about the same color

I really doubt it's graphite, it's way too light of a material to be doping BBs with. A BB made of pure graphite would only be .23g.
It's more likely to be lead or zinc. The softness is going to be a byproduct of the BINDER used, the plastic. What makes it fall apart or break easily is the filler between the bonding material, the metal powder.

Odd that you GHK mag would jam. MY PTW mags feed and shoot the .43 madbulls great.

Try loading 1-5 BB at a time into the mag and see if it's a issue with spring tension.

All GHK guns I worked with I had to file the feed lips a bit.

You should try filing them a tiny bit.

The problem is yours mags are not strong enough to lift the 0.43g bb's. Also hop up can cause a problem if it can't lift that weight.

Non bio fields nothing feeds better or shoots further and straighter than a ptw with strong spring mags and Madbull 0.43g bbs.

Also work great in my ASR bolt action shooting 490fps with 0.2
