Considering they're real GoPro mounts, not that ghetto. Call me when you have one made out of bailing wire and duct tape.

Just wondering, what would be a good DIY helmet counterweight? I don't have $40 to throw at a counterweight bag. Any ideas would be great

The only way to be sure your counterweight will create a perfect balance with your NOD, is to buy a second identical NOD and arm to be mounted to the back of your helmet.

I second this, and at least when you turn around, you'll have NV for your back too! Best practice

Lead shot in a bag in a pouch attached to your helmet.
I once used spare lug nuts from a half ton truck because I forgot my counterweight at home.
