Thread covers?

Ok I have a question. Does anyone know if they make thread covers?

What I mean is I don't like the look of a AEG I have with the flash hinder on and want to leave it off, but would like to cover up the threads as well.

Now I have seem a CA mp5 with a flat metal ring that you can thread onto flash hinder and wanted to know if they make these for a m4.

Pics of the gun with flashinder and what I want.

With flash hinder, excuse the orange paint :P

What I want it too look like, only not showing the threads

You could probably get a MP5 thread hider if it's the same threading as your gun (14mm -?)

I am really bad with what it is. I am pretty sure it's 14mm, but always forget how to tell what kind of thread it is. To tighten it onto the AEG I go counter clockwise.

inexpensive thread cover

A sanding wheel from a Dremel just fits over the threads. Take an old used one which has lost its grit and paint it flat black.
(You can get them at crappy tire if you don't own a dremel tool.)

If you have an extra flash hider that you want to sacrifice:
1. Make sure it threads on nice
2. Measure carefully
3. Measure carefully (and write down the numbers this time...LOL)
4. File/sand the flash hider to match your barrel diameter
5. Check your measurements
6. Cut it off with a hacksaw
7. Clean it up and paint

That threading looks like it's 14mm negative.

In any case, thread protectors are manufactured and for sale for several dollars. Not overly expensive. I use to have one for sale, but ended up keeping it for my own use. :P

More can be acquired if needed.

You can order it yourself, but the shipping costs for such a small item might be prohibitive.

If you're not in a rush for one, I can bring one back from hong kong for you in July.

Hmm... I just did a quick look for one in a negative thread, but I'm not able to find one available... I'll keep my eye open for one for you.
