I was looking at that barrel the other day. I think I'm going to go with the steel version, but that won't work for your light build unfortunately

14.5" is the lenth of a regular m4's barrel, so it'll work. It's not the exact barrel for that gun, but it's far less rare and much easier to obtain

It's roughly a 14.5, the barrel is technically a shortened M16A2 barrel. I purchase the G&P M16A2 Shorty Front-set. Everything on is it correct. The M727 has the Barrel adapted for M203 Attachment, hence where the M4A1 barrel Originated from.

So if the goal is to recreate an M727, shouldn't he be done right now anyway? the barrel is correct, unless hes going for another model of a colt rifle. I too wanted to have an M727 but I gave up on it and bought an XM177e2 instead.

There are two versions, the one with the plain bore is just a bit more obscure from what I understand. I kinda hate the look of the current barrels.

My mid length WE GBBR just went a little bit retro with an A1 upper & XM177 flash hider .

A huge thanks to Danther for the upper receiver swap & the flash hider

You could just grab the G&P m16a2 shorty front set like Schoolboy mentioned. I just purchased an entire G&P m16a2 shorty instead but the handguard is not the correct one.

The guns already built, so thats kind of out of the question. But thats fine! I've got everything I needed ordered and so far the cost has only been only $300 for the project.

A leftie indeed. You noticed 45's on "wrong side" eh? The scope is a cheapo red dot, $5 lol! But as I mentioned in an earlier post I wanted it high enough to use with full face and as far forward as possible.
