Put boiling water on it or blow dry it till the glue melts?

Boiling works you need to remove the barrel [take the inner barrel/hopup out] so you can keep the flash hider in the pot of boiling water. The flash hider needs to be submerged for a while for the glue to reach its melting point. Wear oven mitts to hold the outer barrel flash hider first into the boiling water. Keep there for about 5 mins as you rotate.
After that you need to use your might and twist it off (with gloves on or you’ll burn yourself) you need to do this while the glue is melted and clean it off as soon as you can It worked for me.

So, I've got my Masada few day ago and now I am overheating my brain and wondering how could I make the battery not fly all over the damned handguard. The gun really doesn't creak or rattle at all (well, maybe a charging handle rattles a bit...) and spoiling it with battery sucks.
Any ideas? I've tried rubberbands but sometimes the battery falls out from it. |

I put a King Arms 11.1v 1100mAh 15c lipo between the handguard and the barrel lever. It hasn't moved in over 10 games running it that way.

Ok, I've just had a little issue with bolt lock, so I'll share experience with you.
I was just sitting on the toilet, playing with my Masada (that's right, you are not alone), when I noticed that bolt can't lock. It's important to say that I wasn't playing with bolt lock at all. I've got it for about 2 months and and I used bolt lock maybe 5 times. Problem was: the BOLT DOOR (B39 in manual) is very thin = contact surface with BOLT RELEASE INSERT (D13) is way too small. By the look of bolt release insert it looks like that bolt door doesn't really come above it, but around it, when you press the release button. The outcome of it is, that bolt release lock wore down on the side, which was the source of all evil and this post. Solution was(please note, that I'm a dummy with things like that) removing the bolt door and bending the..tooth that locks bolt inside a bit. Hopefully it will work from now on and hopefully it will help someone because I really hate typing. Cheers!

I just got an A&K Masada last week. For those still wishing to remove the orange flash hider, I dipped mine in boiling water for ~30 seconds and used vice grips to turn the flash hider off(CW Threads). The threads are a bit far down in the flash hider and are glued on, once it comes off just scrap the little bit of glue off the threads with a knife.

I also own an A&K masada and I love it. Personally I have held both versions and I like the A&K better, it feels better in my hands. Also I think the look of the Magpul one with the charging handle up further, I prefer it to be back.
Now all they need to do it be able to get the CQB barrel and come out with the 18' barrel system for the A&K. If you can find a CQB barrel for the A&K from a site I will prob be buying it. All in all great set of guns by both companies. |

for those that have the a&k versions, are they compatible with the pts aftermarket stocks?
will probably be ordering an a&k this week, but havent been able to find anything definitive on if the stocks are compatible or not
