But, please tell me what problem on the TM cant be adressed or modified...

When I purchased my ICS m4a1... being maintenance oriented I loved the split gearbox ( go from indoor to outdoors in 15sec flat... plus the ware is split on two gearbox)

I had "old timers" telling me that I would have nothing but grief... well about 30,000 rounds later playing inside and outside ...i'm still waiting....

Sure had to do maintenance on it... no cost ... part of the fun...
Sure had to realign the front part (hard it)... barrel wobble... fixed... no cost
Complete maintenance on gears done in 30 minutes... not hours
so for less then 400$ taxe in...

you might have a problem convincing me that spending a 1000$ would have made my life better + you have to add the purchase of the indoors gun because I dont went to operate on the thing every other week CA, TM, WA its still steel screws in aluminium.

So again... buy a descent weapon... use it for a year... then decide what you need... I the mean time remember you are not getting paid to play airsoft
TM M4's are the weakest gun they product because they're out-dated, they're still phenomenal guns if you run them stock, but inside Canada the costs to fully upgrade one externally outweighs the initial cost of just buying a G&P or Classic Army instead.

TM M4's (not talking about SOPMOD or their Electric blowbacks) still have a 2 piece hop-up, body tabs and a weak V2 mechbox.

However, they are PHENOMENAL platforms to upgrade if you've got unlimited funds

I appreciate everyones input, it is very helpful. I am leaning more towards an M15 Carbine now after doing some more reading, seems to be a lot more in the way of mods internal and external plus they seem to be quite popular for good reason. I will keep my eyes open for a G&P as well as a CA on the forums for sure (If someone has either in an M15 variant in Winnipeg they wouldn't mind showing me let me know). I would rather spend a bit more money up front and not have to deal with as many repairs etc.

Alpine - Check the name pal, I got AV'd on the weekend :P

An AR and and a 1911 is the way to go. Mp5's have less velocity.

????

For someone who is in the airsoft business... that information is REALLY skewed.. you should know that velocity means little to nothing as its very easily changeable..

Stock MP5's and stock M4's all come around the same velocity...

My point exactly, this is why I was merely suggesting buying that waepon for a year, figuring your actual needs and preference and THEN spending an unspecified amount on what you really need and want after selling that gun for the same price you purchased it...

After all 300$ guns sell in 2 days(good ones) 1700$ ones... hummmm

Cheers mate... been fun chating

The full metal CA and G&P guns hold their value MUCH better than anything plastic...

I'd say buy a new or lightly used G&P... then if you don't like it you can easily get back 70% of what you paid if it's in good condition.

Yup, he'll come over to my place and be able to fondle several guns. The best way to figure out what you like is to hold it

Reason I started with an MP5 was that I was only thinking CQB. A friend of mine told me that there are also outdoor events nearby in the summer, which are better suited to larger gun models, Having handled several Bushmaster AR15's an M15 is a natural choice and I feel would be a well suited choice for both indoor and outdoor play. Plus I just keep hearing so many damn good things about them I just cant help but think they are the way to go

Tis' very true, its one thing to see something and like it, but to hold it or try it out is the real deciding factor.

One more thing, your gonna want to change your sig. Its against the rules to post a want ad (which is what that is basically) outside of the AV areas.
