if you're a member of the canadian forces, you can't be a CI

you would have to be on strength with your cadet unit as a Pte (Cpl, MCpl, Sgt, whatever rank you are)

It's Marpat, and you can get it just about anywhere!

Also, the material is denim-like and the buttons are conventional!

Yea, you can not be a CI while being a member of the CF.

If you do want to help out with cadets once your in the Reserve, your have to write a letter through your chain of command saying you wish to help out XXXX cadet unit, etc. If the CO gives permission, you can. Thats also assuming the cadet unit wants you. Most reservist that work with cadets have some experiance in the military and skills/qualifications that the cadet unit can use. I was able to work with cadets cause I had my 404s(military driver's license), etc. As a Private Recruit, you got nothing.

Oh my corp wants me back after I age out. To teach classes on drill and many other areas.

BTW. my transition is complete. I've got a brand new Gen2 jacket and some slightly faded Gen1 trousers. Along with the Parkland's hat (I tried some other hats but they didn't fit nicely), an older tacvest, brassard, CF gloves (liner+leather), Bianchi holster and extender, etc..

The CF gloves, either take them back, or throw them in the garbage, they suck. I only wore them during basic and for rappelling. Theres lots of better gloves out there.

Brassard, well if you want to wear it, go for it.

The old OD Load Bearing Vest, kinda sucks, webbing would probably work out better. You don't really need it for cadets, IMO a day pack or something would probably be better. For airsoft, I guess its alright, webbing might be better since it can carry more, can add extra mag pouches(depending on belt size an what else you got on it), etc

Bianchi holster, heard they're pretty good, I'm gussing this is airsoft only.

I heard the parklands stuff fades really fast

I got the CF gloves for my dad, and the Bianchi doesn't fit my Beretta :-x (so now it's in the classifieds).
As for the vest, I'm liking it so far, it fits all the bits I want to carry nicely (I just need to fix the drawstring).
And I guess I'll see what happens with my boonie. I bought it over others because it fit better then the rest. I'll put it through the wash and see how it comes out...
