$520 for a used TM G3 SG-1 with Systema internals and a tightbore barrel, 3 mid-caps, a rds and mount, a bag of shit .20s and a 3300 mah battery. My suggestion to you is to wait until you are 18, get av'ed and shop around in the classifieds. My friend wanted in and through shopping in the classifieds I found him a used G&G M4 for $190. Then he found 5 used mags for $45. If you are patient you can find really good deals

I bought one of those clear mini augs from CT, then a TM M9 silver springer, then a TM MP5A4 ($450).
The mp5 was my primary up until a month ago when it was traded away.

HAHA!
That is awesome. To the original poster; Don't mistake the word cheap for affordable. There are more affordable options for sure. Myself for instance, I went with a Kraken AK-47. Affordable but decent. I had to invest $50 in a sim job, regrease and downgrade of the spring. It runs like a champ. But do realize you will be out gunned. The $500-600 guns will have better builds, better range, better accuracy. But it only makes you play harder IMO. You have to be closer, and have a better shot. |

With a Kraken it's; buy it, open it up and put another $50 or so into it and play with it until something else breaks and you replace that. Certainly not an option that a lot of people would promote but definitely something you could do if you'd rather meter out money over time (ie. the difference between buying a cheap/beater car and paying maintenance costs more often or buying something like a Corolla or Tercel (higher initial cost) that will work but you still have to do some/less regular maintenance).

1 dollar, semi-auto spring pistol from the dollar store, bought several
Terrible little things but were fun for a prank, guessing under 100 fps with .12's.. Recently though bought 3 Krakens for 100 each, two of them are for other people (each adds about 30 bucks in taxes and shipping so 130x3=390) ASR for 110 on sale, then with shipping, .43 bbs, border fees ect cost me around 180. co2 pistol for about 80. ...sooo effectively I've managed to spend more than some of these people on their first real guns, but in the form of a small armory. |

My first rifle was $950, full metal TM G3A3 with wood stock/foregrip (real steel) and 6 metal mags, all the plastic parts, battery. I have put roughly another $250 into this rifle with internals and new batteries and one metal part that was still plastic.

Upgraded KS P90 = $445
I'm just getting my first gun after being on here for a year almost. Don't forget about everything else like the loadout, etc. That could be just as expensive. My advice, the cheapest good quality gun I can think of that comes to mind is priced usually at $300 plus shipping. You can also cheapout and get cheap Sig 552's, I saw two people had at Green Zone, but you stand out alot if it isn't painted and performs low. This hobby isn't cheap sadly if you lived in asia though, that would be a different story |

KWA 1911 ($240) Awesome gun, just gamed it.
SRC Gen III M4 ($450) - Metal Body ($200) - Prometheus Barrel ($80) - EOTech/ACOG ($130) - 3600 mAh battery ($80) - Upgraded fullstock ($50) - 5 midcaps ($10 ea/$50) My SRC Gen III is what I currently use, and I love it. The $1000 I'm into it for was well worth the money, it's a gem! I've also got an SRC M933 ($200) and a KJW Beretta M9 ($230ish). |
