its about 60 real, 40 fake actually and anything fake is modeled after real operators weapons actaully robin
some people actually use there guns and not field them in a protective case made of titanium Last edited by hymnforthewretched; November 28th, 2008 at 18:22.. |

dude it looks like they have less paint wear then your guns. the last pic looks more "moderately dusted" then anything. honestly i dont like the way it looks. it on thing to look worn, its another to make it look like i dont give a damn about my gun. honestly i think it looks like its just abused to shit for the purpose of looking abused. but its not my gun, if you like it then good on you, paint you gun pink and day glo green if you think it looks cool. in the end no ones going to convince you it looks any less awesome then how you think it is. just my opinion.

no need to get defensive dude, i was just stating my opinion. like i said its your gun and you painted it that way and keep it in that condition because thats what you prefer, no need to justify or defend how you like your guns. to answer your question yes i have painted my gun before and two other friends guns. i am by no means an expert or even claim to be very good, but like you i did what i thought looked good on my gun. its post 265 and 268 of this thread and friends BA is post 273 that i painted the same way. before that my gun was as i call "dusted" as in i could still see the trades and writing under the the paint, and most of it rubbed off after 5 min of use.
to me thats "dusted" heavily but i could be wrong, i dont know of a standard measure paint to qualify as dust, again this is my opinion and the last pic you posted this one: looked more on the scale of "dusted" rather then flat painted. sorry if i offended you i didnt mean to, just giving my two cents |

look under his dust cover, totally solid paint, look in all the nooks and crannies that dont some into contact with stuff, its all solid. the stuff on the black parts that look dusted is actually dust. im not getting defensive. what i am defending tho is that guns can get worn to that extent and its people who come on and say thats too much wear.. whos really o say its too much wear? its been proven that a real operators gun can indeed be that worn.
60 percent of the wear on my gun isnt there because of looks, its there because thats what happened from use. i simply started the process because im not at war everyday in the sandbox. anyways.. lets see some more multicam and marpat pattern guns... |

The reference picture show weapons "dusted" with paint then worn out from sweat and friction. Some parts of the guns are more painted than others, that's to break the shape of the rifle.
Nothing wrong with scratched and worn paint, but doing it on purpose to look like a used gun sometime look too much fake.
