Difficult because you need the right tools to drill tap and make the threads.
I believe you can ask Illusion can do for you, PM him for pricing.

Will ask Tys and Brian when my parts are in. Thanks.

Do any of you skirmish with your race guns, especially open guns? On top of shooting paper and tin targets, that is something I look forward to do.

Yes, you get more accuracy and quicker. As long as you don't get your $500 optic shot out. LOL

Problem is, would you use your high end $2000 race gun to game to get scratched up, dropping mags and sandy crap?

Here's my first stippling job on my hi-cap grip! :P

and I needed practice before doing that, so here's my practice gear.... :P

hope you like it... :P

PS:The grip feels grippy now... :P and its really easy to do...

PPS: Wear a mask when stippling a grip, the melting ABS plastic creates fumes, and thats not good for your brain cells....

Notice the compensator, if he wanted to remove the slide, he's going to have to break out an allen key, what's a few more screws to remove the scope mount?

Actually, it's probably more of a matter of preference. But disassembly is still disassembly.

On most optics setups the rear sight would block the slide from coming off as normal. Most comps don't affect pulling slide off while the side mount is still attached or not...they just go on as a normal barrel setup would.

If the shooter is a right handed person...with the cocking handle on the left side there's two nice advantages
1. The handle is in a nice position for a quick snatch with the off hand if you need to work the slide

2. Some courses of fire start with the pistol, unloaded, on a table. The left side cocking handle will "prop" the pistol up off the table a bit...which gives a right handed person a nice "snatch" to pick up and grab the pistol since their fingers can get under/around the grip right away. Then after the mag is in, the cocking handle is on the "right" side for a quick rack.

Mine...is on the right side...not that it works better there for manipulating things...it's just so I can pull the slide off without taking the scope mount off the frame. There's not a lot of metal thickness for the screw threads...and working them loose can't be good for anything.

or if you run C-More serendipity, you are stuck with removing the RDS anyway since it wraps around the slide and screws in from both side....

No biggie if you don't over tighten the screws and remember to recheck zero after. Its pretty good with maintaining zero....

OK so just as I thought, removing the mount is the only way. I actually prefer it on the right side so I won't have to rezero it every time. More important, like Tys said, putting the mount on and off can only damage the screw/frame threads.

Problem is, the handle that came with the slide set is for the left side. If I put it to the right, the little circular bump underneath won't match up with the top of the BBU. If I sand the bump off, the handle will be loose.

What slide set is it? If its Airsoft Surgeon/ProG4?Illusion Kinetics or I imagine one of the clone of those, you can buy the cocking handle that goes the other way....ProG4 makes both....

Yea when I placed the order it didn't say it's left side only. I ended up DIYing it to the right haha. Basically I sanded off the bump and drilled a hole so it's secured by a screw just like the original rear sight.

However because the cocking handle angles up by about 30 degrees, it'll still hit the mount when the slide is being removed. So I did more filing, and polished it at the end.

The next problem is getting the scope mount installed.

I just wonder if anybody already got a set of this conversion kit.

http://www.prog4.com/db/product-show.asp?refno=AR1587

I got a quote 505 $ custom build for WA INFINITY 5'' Magna series with everything except upper frame which I can't import by myself also I don't need one though since it's exactly the same as the on on my gun.

But it just something that bug me much and Prog4 is slow on reply. So the question is how can I mount a cocking handle on that slide, it doesn't like it could since it doesn't have a cut out for rear sight or it really doesn't need one though. I give them a week to reply and confirm payment with me otherwise I will go to Illusion. Support Canadian.
