On another note, today I'm reading this local Taiwanese magazine (moved here a few months ago to teach, miss Vancouver) and news is that A&K is back in business (http://www.akairsoft.com/). And the owner says they're coming out with two new products, one SVD AEG (yes, battery-powered) and another, YES M24 !!!! For the latter the owner says they "used parts left from CNC" dunno what that means... Due date unspecified too, that's all the news I got hope others can elaborate. Cheers! And Fox and others PLEASE put your M24s on the scale and tell me its net weight (without bipod, scope and sling) PLEASE!! Thanks !! |

If you are looking for a realistic weight, the M24 is the heavyest Bolt action sniper rifle in airsoft. The stock is a one peice, solid fiberglass composite and the rest is all metal. Unlike the Maruzen L96, wich is heavy, but made out of hollow plastic.

People are always surprised by the weight of the rifle when they first pick-up a CA M24.
It is a really solid rifle and I highly recommend it to anyone interested in airsoft BA's. It is my favourite airsoft rifle - period.

my addition -
Kart jae-100 socom length M14 please forgive the messy workspace took the picture right after getting it home. the stock bipod and the reflex are no longer on it. making it shoot pretty (aka entire internal replacement LOL ) before I make it look pretty ... but I was really suprised at how well it shoots stock, as my expectations for a stock Kart were really low

Mine with Rockmount "Harris" style swivelling bipod, 3-9x40 scope, sling and stock pouch (barely worth mentioning the last two) weighs about 14lbs.

Ca m24
All these sniper rifles look amazing! I want to get a CA M24 but where the hell co you find one! No one is importing them and those that have them want to keep them! Thats a good sign for a reliable rifle...not so good for me tho!

Just a personal preference, I like my airsoft to be authentic to real steel's specs. Nothing funny about it

For me, as long as it's close to the real counterpart weight and the thing is ballanced.
