Do you mean the teensy little whole under the bottom of the flash hider? Jeez, what kind of screwdriver fits in there?

Hmm. Okay. I tried to look inside with a flashlight to see what it was before you posted and, its way to small to see.

So.. If I remove this screw, the flashhider will comes off. Is the tip threaded under that? (Meaning I can just screw on my silencer?)

nope. its one solid piece of metal. you will have to purchase a new flash hider with threading. and then install it in place of the one you have just removed

$30 + $6 shipping will get you one that retains the original look if you want.

Oh okay. Yea, I just took it off. Had to find my small glasses kit, and use the tiniest key in there. $20 seems like so much just for a small adapter. Well, atleast I know what to do now once I get the money.

I'm not sure how old this Mp5 is. Is there anyway to tell? It has full trademarks and serial, and TM logo.

EDIT: Oh jeez. Now someone posts a $36 version. :P. They both do the same, right?

You can't, there's no dates marked on TM guns. You might have a manufacture or QC stamp on the gearbox. It's not important to know when it was made. TM Mp5s haven't really changed for a decade.

And yes, these things are expensive, but airsoft IS expensive. These parts are unique and aren't in demand that much to be mass manufactured to the point where they are really cheap. That $62 (probably $70 shipped) silencer is not so bad. If you were to buy the thread adapter it would probably cost you $30 at least and then you'd need to buy a silencer as well for at least $40. That's $70 right there. If you buy the QD one, you don't need a thread adapter.

The $36 one is better than the $20 one (probably $30 shipped since it's Canada Post) because when you take the silencer off, you still can use it as a regular flashider if you screw on the cap. The $20 one leaves you with no flashider at all as all it does is put threads on the end of the gun.

Good point. I dont know what silencer I'd go for though. Since this one has a flashlight, the silencer has to have a pretty small diameter. Problem with that is, a small diameter silencer looks like shit on it. Needs a fatty. (I put my AK's silencer around it just to see. ew)
