That radio you linked is a VHF

You need to be absolutely sure you get a UHF, otherwise you wont be able to talk to anyone else

Good luck with the troat mic though. I had 2, and hated both.

And they don't work with mendarin colar BDU (ACU type BDUs).

Hahahahaha. I love the Chef. The mic was only 10$ so ill give it a go. After researching the Radio 70.00 shipped was a killer price. Most i saw were well over 125$

So i got my GP68 today printed off the smaller 18 page manual...wowzers!!! These things are crazy. It talks about getting it programed or "cloned" is this maybe a good idea? Do you guys know any good site that maybe have a tutorial on this radio. Its a lot to take in all at once...feeling a bit overwhelmed.

That's an excellent Idea, Ivan team meeting with guest speaker Thundercactus to talk about the GP68's and the million commands you need to know in order to use them with GMRS radios lol
