Unfortunately due to the nature of airsoft in Canada, costs are much higher than that of countries like the USA and Japan. The few retailers that exist have to go through a lot more of a headache to even get an airsoft gun in this country, hence why the price is much higher.

Since the ownership change of buyairsoft I cannot comment on the current quality of their customer service, but I will comment on their previous customer service history, and I will do so in one word. Lacking.

If you want something for recreational use and simple target shooting, then I would suggest investing in a pellet gun or BB rifle.

If you are interest in still obtaining an airsoft gun than please take into consideration that cost does reflect quality in most cases when pertaining to airsoft.

Bravo summed it up the best with regards to clear guns: If you want an airsoft gun for the realism, you don't want a clear one. If you want an airsoft gun because they look cool, you don't want a clear one.

The mass majority of players and collectors on this forum fall into that catagory. We don't have any interest in -nor any care for- cheap and clear airsoft guns.

If you want an airsoft gun in Canada that isn't a shitty Aftermath gun, it's going to cost you a minimum of $350. If you want an M14 that isn't a piece of shit, it's going to cost you a minimum of $600.

I'm not saying this to be a douchebag. Those are the facts. Airsoft is an expensive hobby. With VERY few exceptions (those being the one or two shotguns that aren't spawns from the depth of hell), the stuff sold by Wal-Mart and Canadian Tire isn't airsoft. Not even close. There's a reason it's called "soft air" and not airsoft.
QFT, this should be a pop-up message anytime a noob hits the "New Thread" button

W/e guys, it seems this was the wrong place to go to for basic information, which is all I was looking for.

I'll come back if I suddenly get $1000 disposable income.

hi where can I get an AEG?

I don't want to pay for it, I want some one to give it to me.

This isn't the wrong place to go for basic information, in fact we have people coming from all over the world for the information we have on here....

We're just not giving you the answer you want to hear.

If you want to target shoot go pick up a .177 cal BB gun.. They're much more accurate anyways

Amos and many others that have replied to you so far have probably hit the nail square on the head bud. A lot of people are coming off as 'harsh' or 'Elitist' because we've had to repeat ourselves hundreds and hundreds of times over and over because of people much like you.

At this point, you have two choices

A) Suck it up, buttercup. And take it in the ass like a man.

Airsoft in canada isn't exactly fair compared to the US or other parts in the world. Everything comes with a high pricetag and a lot of expectations. Of course, you can get stuff relitively cheap...

But thats leading you into a whole lot of trouble. Lower the cost, the shittier the quality. You get what you pay for, why not make it count?

This is also a good point in time to absorb what people here are telling you, people here have been playing airsoft since it pretty much started and have a lot of things to pass down to the newer generations. Take their knowledge for granted.

Also, get a job.

B) Continue to take it up the ass until you throw a shitfit and get banned, or simply leave.

Hate to be blunt, but thats pretty much the routine for a lot of new people on this site, this being the most common route. Take CanadianM4 or whatever his name is for example...

He got all pouty lipped because things weren't fair. Threatened to leave countless times (Lol, We're still waiting... Oh wait, he made another account to pose as another and got banned.) and kept on acting like he was the shit while we were trying to convince him what the facts simply are.

It really comes down to whether the person will admit they're wrong and learn.

So, its your choice.

You have chosen the wrong gun to like .... M14 are one of the most expensive AEG's. Especially G&G , CA or TM (priced at 600-900$) one because they use a very unique gearbox for precision & accuracy - V.7 ... the other clones uses only V.3 therefore able to make it 300-400$ CAD priced ...

Canadian Tire has interesting shotguns. Go get one, especially the crosman sp45 tri-shot. It's 119,99$. It's a great "Back-yard" shooting gun or backup of the backup. This is your only option. Canadian Tire or Walmart cansofts. No more. Don't dream.

It's a cruel airsoft world but it's true of what everyone is saying.

I have been active since only March 2009 but I have spent upwards from 4 to 5 thousand $ on guns and gear. I love playing with the guys and I have met people that I would not be in social circles with. I might be at an extreme level ( i think) but what is sad is that we get guys come out with the cheap plastic shit, and in the heat of battle the gear fails or they get spotted sonner or dont have range to reach us.

Usually 1 or 2 things happen; buddy throws out the clear shit and gets something better or he gets pissed off because he keeps getting killed and quits all toghether.

So to sum things up a little not only do you need decent quality gun but also camo.

I scan through the whole thread and have to say Locke is just asking a normal question. And members' answers are very valid, except the tone maybe a bit harsh.

The Canadian airsoft market is greatly distorted, so the price is unreasonably high for the real airsoft VS other part of the world. It is the fact and hope newbie will understand this from now on. Clearsoft or half clearsoft may be a good start but the real "black" airsoft from reputable brands will be the better ones that give the real joy when you go to games.

By the way, I just want to cry when someone look for a used GBB with a budget of $ 40 (include shipping) and keep bumping the "Wanted" thread every week. I find this is much worse than than Locke's question, as it's kind of insulting the wisdom of the other ASC members.

It's simple, I saw a soft air pistol in a Canadian Tire once, bought, and had a lot of fun. I then became interested in getting something a little more badass, so I took my search online. I then came across virtually no sites that would ship to Canada, and the ones that did usually only sold (what I thought was) insanely expensive stuff.

I then found what looked perfect for me, at a Canadian site, only to discover they no longer sell it.

So I thought I'd turn here, since you people are in the know about this sort of stuff. I wasn't expecting to be talked down to like I'm a child, and to be insulted just for asking a question that's even in the "Newbie Tank". I'm sorry some of you didn't get the picture that I'm not asking for help finding a $500 airsoft gun, and I'm sorry that I didn't realize that daring to ask for help for a "clearsoft" or "soft air" gun would be akin to blasphemy around here.

well sadly the guns we own ARE cheap crap, it's just that we payed them a ridiculous price...
it's difficult to be seriously elitist when your 300$ 'full metal GBB pistol' is actually a piece of pot metal that everybody else in the world pays 90$

Maybe you should have read the Frequently Asked Questions, as is recommended across the top of the site before you click "sign up".

Next, maybe you should have believed us when you were told that airsoft in Canada is retarded expensive. Another thing that could have been solved with reading the FAQs.

Lastly, maybe you should have actually read and absored what the very first 4 replies to your question said, instead of insisting that we don't actually have a fucking clue what we're talking about and that we're elitists snobs because we don't play with shit airsoft guns that ours can quite literally shoot holes through.

Airsoft isn't cheap. Crappy Tire/Wal-mart guns are not airsoft.

Now, if you actually do want good, more "badass" airsoft guns, you've come to the right place. But like you've been told literally a dozen times in this thread -an actually airsoft gun, especially an M14- is going to cost you a fuckton more than your $120 budget. Once you get that through your head, we can move on to the part where we may actually direct you on how to aquire said gun(s).

If you don't like that, maybe you should try your luck on the fisher price forums.

Maybe this will illustrate my point better:

-n00b "Hey guys, I just picked up a Cessna 150 and was playing around with it.. but then I discovered you guys I want something a little more powerful. I was thinking a CF-18. My budget is about $200,000"
-Us: "Sorry dude, a CF-18 is going to cost you $30 Million."
-n00b: "Well.. I just want one to play around with.. nothing fancy."
-us: "Sorry dude, a CF-18 is going to cost you $30 million. You might be able to get an old, surplus F-16 for $15 million. Not an F-18, but still pretty good."
-n00b: "Man you guys are all elitists assholes."

And yea... comparing our airsoft guns to walmart clearsoft is really like comparing an F-18 to a Cessna.

Did you even read the question he was asking? You fool! He wasn't talking about TM or whatever other shit he just wanted to know and I quote: "are there any other sites that sell a spring airsoft M14 such as the one on Buyairsoft.ca". You guys are a bunch of elitist morons. He wasn't even being rude to you kalnaren and then you had to go and be a GIANT douche about it. He just asked a simple question that required a simple answer. If you didn't want anything to do with it then you shouldn't of said anything. Instead you went about it and acted like a fucking nazi.

Anyways I myself was looking at that M14 because I am not an elitist who wants to go shoot people with plastic metal guns and act like i'm in real war. I don't think there are any other retailers in Canada who sell that specific model. If I find one in my continuing search i'll be sure to hit you up.
