Throat mic?

I'm a security officer and we use mics fixed to our collars and they work very well. I don't even have to look down so I'm facing it directly. I can see how a throat mic wouldn't sound as clear or loud though being directly under your jaw. If I ever get a mic it would be either a headset with the boom or one what I can clip to my collar.
