Eh, dude, just drill with yer gun.

My PTW is only 3(???!!) months old, and it's magwell is BARE METAL from all the drilling. Also have an almost bare metal bolt catch, and other contact points.

It really looks nicer that way. Cause, honestly, the aged "look" is just that. A lame look. lol.

seriously just skirmish with the gun and it will develop natural wear that will look much better. my VFC's patina looks nothing like it did when it was new. VFC took a lot of time in developing the textures and color on the 416 IMO any attempt to change that just ruins the gun.

I look at my guns like my guitars. I have no problems with them getting some wear and tear to the finish. It's a fact of life that a working tool will gets its cosmetic damage over the years. I try to take care of them to make sure they don't get prematurely dinged up or damage, but wear and tear from normal use is fine. I just don't go out of my way to try to artificially age my stuff.

Yeah when I notice my first scratch I was upset but now I really appreciate all of them.

its not too bad. BUT i just got your name... nothing makes you more of a man, than a ThunderCougerFalconBird! Friends questioning your sexuality? Want them to stop? Just one word: ThunderCougerFalconBird.
hahaha. nice gun though. To really get that worn look, skrimish with it, drag it behind your car, or while you are waling through the forest. or hell, etch it with some acid.
