So when you fire full auto, then stop, the gears unwind and let the piston go forward?
If that's the case your either missing your anti reversal latch or the spring on it isn't strong enough. Also make sure it's actually catching, take the piston and spring out of your mechbox, spin the gears and they should only go one way freely.
You can either buy the systema spring set or a new anti-reversal latch that comes with a new spring.

Make sure the spring doesn't run off when you are closing the mechbox, the problem you are having is 100% anti-reversal latch spring, either it's in the wrong place or you got a fubar spring.

OK well after much pondering and investigating i gave up thinking my mechbox was the issue..

It ends up that the new v2 mechbox case i ordered wasn't seating properly in the mp5 shell. I found scars on the inside of the 2 halfs where the top of the mechbox sits. I carefully filed these portions down a bit and voila... i have a working gun once again!!! funny how the syndromes i was encountering were caused by this small discrepency.

OH well it works now and just incase someone else is experiencing similar problems.. Make sure your mechbox is seated properly in your body when putting all of it back together!!!!

Thanks Everyone for your input!!!!!
