Very nice, easy to see that its based on the pictures you posted but still has a 'personal' touch.

Change the grip and paint the stock black and your set to go

Just remember, Hollywood isn't SF. In the movies you always see the SF guys with all kind of shit hanging off of their weapons. In real life, if you don't need it, don't bring it.

True but some movies (ie. Tears of the Sun have advisers on set who are former SF who make sure that everything is tru.) It really depends on the Movie, but from looking at the guy above it looks like something that they really would use.

Which VLTOR stock did you get? I'd recommend the airsoft ones that can hold a battery (clubfoot one); M203 + AN/PEQ battery makes the gun awkwardly front-heavy.

moot: 2: deprived of practical significance : made abstract or purely academic

Sorry to sound like a jerk, I'm not trying to, but you seem like a guy who can put up a good effort, you might just need some more direction in what you want to do. I do not doubt in the future we might see a great and accurate SF gun post from you.
I've got to back Yuxi up on that, and I don't it's being a jerk: getting any kind of accurate impression for gear or a gun requires a very strict discipline. Researching reference material, identifying it correctly, and recreating it accurately. Like Pip said, it's all about the little details; they can make all the difference.

That being said, you also really have to want to, to go down that road. Parts on mil-spec guns aren't necessarily the best or most comfortable, just "what gets issued." For example, I went and set up a USMC SAM-R, all pretty much "to spec" (minus the PRI M84 latch, never got around to ordering it, and the scope, which I don't really like). But I wasn't thrilled with it, and when all is said and done I find my personalized version more comfortable: Falcon Ergo-grips, KAC trigger guard, Phantom flash hider (no impact for airsoft besides looks, but in terms of "real world" characteristics I prefer it), PAC tactical latch (modded RS), and a Leupold M3 scope.

I really appriciate your guy's honest opinions and advice, (thanks for the great pics Yuxi- good for reffrence)

My problem is that I really want to do somthing around an S.I.R, I had this gun set up simmilar to this gun:

Mine:

Then I built another one for a more CQB type use simmilar to this:

Mine:

I did'nt like my first build (which i used the SOPMOD chart as a reffrence) becuase i felt it was a bit off balance.
I really like the second on I built as a PMC gun with an upgrade to a Blackwater metal body and later added a CRT stock. And i decided that i really like the SIR but wanted to add a little twist. this where i am stuck.
Help me please. i appriciate all your guy's expert advice and opinions don't be afraid of offending me. it all positive criticism in my books. thanks again.

Well, the thing with the SIR is, AFAIK, besides being used by Barrett on the trial M468, no one else has really adopted it. So right off the bad, SIR is a though sell for "mil-spec."

The closest I can think of, that's used by someone, is the CASV-EL (used by Navy EOD). But it's a 10.5" barrel setup as well:

(and no, Marines don't use it. As I recall, the story of this pic was it was FR guys trying out Navy OED guns)

Anyway, point in case, if you wanna go with the SIR, maybe just forget it being mil-spec.

I doubt that, at least this guy can carry it for a whole day without complaining and he doesn't bail out of his squad when he say he's going to go reload.
