I always wondered about the SCAR how your finger can fit in the gap to pull the trigger with the stock folded. The gap look so small.

Should be pretty easy to strip down & snap macro's of. I seem to read a lot of conflicting info on VFC. Arnies reviews sing praises, Illusion here feels they're not junk, but other folks just seem to have an axe to grind.

I've had mine field stripped, but I didn't go as far as removing the mech-box from the lower receiver. The top half of the mech-box looks like any other V2. If I have time tonight, I'll pull it out to see as I'm wondering the same thing. The Hop-up is my concern right now as it is similar to a 2 piece TM one but is a little different, and because if the way the gun comes apart, I don't think a 1 piece will work, as you have to rock the lower receiver front down first to tale it out, and you have to do this to get the barrel assembly out.

Here is my concern, is the gearbox I want to place Systema M100 gearbox with Turbo motor without hassle of the bolt catch system being left out like how 416 would be like if you were to replace it with aftermarket V2 gearbox. |

The mech-box is a V2. I had it out last night and put it beside a TM one and they are identical. I don't see the hop-up being a minor modification if your going to put a one piece metal one, as you would basically have to remove the rear mounting hole on the barrel/ lower rail assembly (where the pin goes through the lower reciever at the front) in order to be able to slide the barrel out without dropping the reciever first.

Yup! I did have CA one http://www.airsoftcanada.com/showthread.php?t=42609
But I sold it to someone on the boards after I upgraded it and game it few time. VFC FN SCAR is much more promising interms of upgrading beside the hop-up. |

Hey Yuu! lol!I don't have a digi-cam but I'll try to borrow a friends. As for the wiring, yes it comes out the back like an M4 but there is no mini plug. There are two spring connectors that press against two round plates so there's no plug to connect to the stock wiring. Basically you put the lower receiver/ trigger group in rear first, then you tip the front up into place. That's why you need the two piece hop up otherwise you'd snap off the loading nozzle when you put the lower receiver in. I don't mind the two peice, I just wish someone would make a metal one. What kind of hop-up was in your CA? and how was it wired?

CA SCAR V2 gearbox is 7mm like their M4/M16 line ups. The wiring is on the rear with mini plug sticking out, problem is that its wired loops in upper receiver to the fuse and then to the folding stock. CA did poor job knowing that wiring like that could easily cut wires by folding the stock and pulling the charging handle. CA SCAR's Hop-up is V2 M4 style but no dials instead it was like V3 dial; like some sort of hybrid. But you can fit Guarder v2 m4 hop-up unit inside with minor filling it on the side :P.
