I was under the impression that Multicam was being developed as a replacement for US woodland but wasn't adopted because of cost concerns... If that's true, it would be far from being sci-fi.

Nope, but the woodland helmet cover and jungle hat were issued prior to CADPAT.

why is multicam unrealistic? just because no forces wear or because you're a hater? multicam is awesome in the foothills of alberta where I play... can't say enough about it.

Well, actually several US units do wear Multicam... I don't know which ones.. but I saw a segment on "future weapons" on battlfield robotics being tested, and the US unit doing the testing was all in Multicam.

And I have seen other segments where clearly US units were wearing Multicam.

I don't think it is in General issue, but it must be in issue pretty widely due to the fact that CP is running full tilt to fill US Defense orders for their stuff.

Yes, but thats mainly because I think those IR things are kinda dumb, even though I was going to buy a military police one for myself.
