your on the right track, ghost recon3 is where i got some of my inspiration. if you play the 360 version and customize your character you can get a bunch of ideas.
for goggle, clear lens powder finish oakley a frames ($350+/-) http://oakley.ca/o/o3277d

either parkland camo, or CRYE Multicam (this is the real ilfe camo to gr3) get that camo, ($180?)http://www.sealsactiongear.com/catal...?idProduct=511
http://www.sealsactiongear.com/catal...?idProduct=512

a mich helmet paint tan and mount on a flash light and lipstick camera. ($60+)

get some hockey shin guards, paint them tan ($40)

Modular Plate Carrier, CRYE Multicam ($279)http://www.sealsactiongear.com/catal...?idProduct=517
get the shoulder pads off a hockey/football torso armor, ($60 @ sport swap) sew on buckles attatch and voila, scott mitchells load out. i was contemplating replicating this myself.

GRAW Setup isn't even possible unless you have a shitload of money and a lot of free time.

-Artisent Helmet: is a Concept piece so theres no price tag on it but it would cost in the hundreds if not thousands. With all those gadgets built in.
http://www.artisent.com/

-Crye Combat Shirt: Is available at $115US plus another $30US for the elbow pads
http://www.cryeprecision.com/product1.asp?P=CS1

-MR-C Rifle: Again a Crye concept item no price tag but would cost thousands. No airsoft version and won't be one in the near future.
http://www.cryeassociates.com/12.htm

-Underarmour: Readily available at Army Surplus stores. $30-50 a piece.

-Oakley SI Boots: Nice piece but a boot thats still being made in 2013 thats a old pair of boots $260CAN

-Crye Combat Pants: $160US nice pants with lots of features like take a dump with your pants on. Plus $30 for kneepad inserts

-BHI Fury Gloves: $75US Made in Vietnam, Nuff said

-Crye Armored Chassis: Not available to civis but no military uses MC so price very very expensive because it requires special shaped amour inserts. $3000?

and all the other little goodies that weren't listed adds to another few thousand of gear.

Don't base your stuff on the future or even the near future stick the present and new. GR2 stuff is whats current. So go grab a $5000 head on over to your nearest tac store get your self

-A set of either ACU, CADPAT, MARPAT or even MULTICAM
-A MICH 2001 or 2002
-A High end Tactical Vest from EAGLE or HSGI like a CIRAS and lots of pouches
-A Pair of good boots, Oakleys if you can afford them
-A mass produced M4 with hundreds $ in accessories and mags
-and a reality check.

PS: Get a pair of approve goggles for local field use.

I'm not coming off as a A-Hole but sugar coating things is bad for peoples health.

I think your trying to Dr.Phil me, anyways thats very helpful, but I already am aware of all this. The Ghost recon fatigue is out of the question because of the chasis, I only posted as an EXAMPLE of what i meant by modern. However, i did get alot of useful information out of this. And man i wish i could buy muticam locally, there is only cadpat here. And i didnt know the MRC was a crye project, thats awesome. On Swat13's note, i play with my goggles, and an Under Armour hat, for head attire. And Eddie is right about the GR2 stuff, itd be more practical too. Though Muticam is useful and somewhat capable in a wide variety of situations, its still too tan for the woodlands here in New Brunswick.

I hear that in the future we will fight naked.

You should try it.

Honestly though, base your gear off of the suggestions above. Trying to achieve a kit that is similar to "near future" equipment will either frustrate you or break the bank.

Hell it might even do both.

That modular rifle looks like a possibility. Looks like get an M-4 with and SIR system, get the armalite sniper stock and a P-90 and chop and stick together. Possible with some planning and talent.

In the first picture of the Ghost Recon Soldier, it looks like he has a Spec-Ops Vapour thigh holster on.

Cheaper and more low profile than Safariland, and come with different kydex inserts for other pistols.

Would be a good piece in your outfit.

I think im going to go with a woodland or olive outfit, and get a sweet vest, an a mp7a1. Theyre pretty cutting edge. that and my muscle memory is to trained on carbine configurations. I would only give my Xm8 up for an SL8, which i cant find anywheres.
