I'll make the obligatory "be careful with an AEG in your backyard post".
Not at all recommended if you live in a city, especially in the GTA. Most cities have by-laws that make backyard shooting a no-no. Super not recommended if your backyard is in any sort of public view (ie. your neighbours will see you shooting back there). Ultra not recommended if you are under 18 and any of the above are true. Before I ever got into airsofting, I too bought and AEG just to "plink around with". It became a lot less fun when I realized there wasn't any place handy other than my basement where I could comfortably shoot it. A pellet gun would be better for "target practice" too if that's all you'll be doing. More accurate than an AEG. Last edited by brock0; June 15th, 2015 at 14:28.. |

I'm gonna be the usual guy and say to get AV'd as a start.
Then, go to a local shop, fondle some guns, and pick one you like.... ... then go home and look for one on the classifieds. You can probably get one in good shape with a charger and battery and possibly upgrades for the price you'd pay elsewhere.
