in full auto, the piston often stops at a random spot, all the way forward, all the way back, somewhere in between. I've got doubts your 7.2v batt would be able to get it cycling again since the motor has to overcome the pressure of an already tensioned spring.
Also, batteries have voltage curves, as you use them the voltage drops, so it might work fine for 200-400 rounds, then all of a sudden it won't be able to cycle the gun anymore. As for the problem, it's a jam, it's the unmistakable sound of a jammed gun Is the hop up set all the way on? What brand/weight of BBs are you using? Is the barrel clean? Is the air nozzle moving back and forth? Try loading 1 BB at a time by hand and shooting it without the mag in |

Does the hop up unit still have the spring on top that keeps it pushed back towards the gearbox?
Does the nozzle cycle back n forth freely when you shoot and Can you push it back and it pops forward again. And yes what kind of bbs are you using as TC asked. Also if its not shooting properly and the grip is fuged why do you feel the urge to waste your effort on it. If i wer you id open the gearbox. Learn hos to reassemble it and that sort of thing. Maybe if yer lucky you can use the front set on another build in the future (hopefully its TM compatable) And also was it just me or is the gearbox also made out of clear plastic.

i currently have all 4 kinds of bbs. bio .2 regular .2 and 2 brands of .12 tried them all. as for it being a jam view the video. ive opend the gun compleatly., needless to say it wont fire as much because it jams evey second shot. Hop up has been fiddled with up and down settings. both shoot as supposed too., the barrel is very cleaned and newly oiled. the nossle moves. there is presssure when i shoot without a bb which leads me to believe the leak is elsewhere. i did try loading one bb at a time. same results.
In the video i am opening it up. and im learning to fix this as a project, i almost got it open all the way too but i cant find a way to remove the gearbox from the main piece. yes on that first gun the entire thing is plastic, its a Piece of crap i want to repair it so i can sell it cheap and not loose a full 100. ( i bought a new gun as mentioned above |

So your saying you have all 4 kinds of bbs. You mean all 4 kinds they sell at the walmart or crappy tire i assume?
Dont use those in your better guns you will ruin them. Buy some bastards orsoe madbulls or something and especially dont use the 12's in any guns those sre for low powered low quality springers and even then its better to use good bbs. The bbs could be half of your jamming issues. As for removing the gearbox. There will be a bolt in the buffer tube that goes into the spring guied in the gearbox. And there should also be a pin through the body into the gearbox above the trigger.

shouldnt have said all. i have one crappy kind from canadian tire the rest are from hobbyshop, the good ones. the bios are from ctire too. theyre junk
the .12s i use just to waste. why are they bad for a gun ? ppl say they are ive never heard Why there bad for them basicly to acess that gearbox i have to rip the gun apart then? |

Low quality bbs are not polished very well if at all, and any irregularities in the sphere can cause the bb to jam and potentially damage your inner barrel.

That bent ring seals the air pressue so it being bent is messing up the seal so in short yes it is causing your problem

ill get a new Oring an put it through a test. there is still alot of pressure without the barrel on. does NOT seem underpowered, when the barrel is on the pressure feels about the same.

You still havent told us what brand of bbs they are. Just cause they came from the hobby place doesnt make em good. Just cause the say high quality, high grade ect.. Doesnt mean they are. Madbull bbbastard bioshot those are prety much the only good bbs available in canada. There are a cpl more but they arent as easy to find.
Crappy bbs not only suck cause of what bogardus said. They also oftdn have seams on them that ruin hop up rubbers and also have a tendancy to break in the gun further killing hop rubbers and have the potential to go through the nozzle into the gearbox snd strip gears and pistons and stuff. Again to remove the gearbox remove all the body pins and the stock buffer tube itll lift right out. Again ill ask. Is there a lil srping ontop of/on the front of the hop up unit above the inner barrel that holds the hop up back against the nozzle? Thats a cause of misfeeds and fps loss. Its a small ass spring and easy to loose.

.12s are known to jam airsoft guns, they're usually extremely low quality, not round, and often double feed. They're reserved for grenade and claymore use.
Stick to KSC, green devils, elite force and BB bastards. High end ammo is worth the money, improves your accuracy by a lot compared to some other brands of BBs. One more thing to check, see if the lips on the hop rubber are too tight. open the gun up and take the hop chamber/barrel assembly out, drop a BB in, and with a push rod or back end of a pen/pencil, see how much force is required to push the BB past the sealing lips, and then past the hop rubber itself. If you drop the pen from 2 inches above the BB, that should be enough force to pop it past the sealing lips. And with the hop off or at minimum setting, the weight of the pen alone should push it through the hopup bump. Last edited by ThunderCactus; June 14th, 2013 at 11:30.. |
