Ive worn my g shock thati only spent 100 $ on for hundreds of airsoft games over the last 5 years and have never damaged it. Ive covered it in mud, sand, cement, oil, brake clean and even a light splash of hydrochloric acid. (Acid was washed off within about a half second lol) this thing is a tank.
Ps walmart sells casio watches and ocassionally you will see g shocks there for 60-100 $

Gshocks because some come in digital and analog, auto backlit, and can take abuse and impact.

Timex Expedition.
http://www.timex.ca/EXPEDITION-Chron...7C166.aspx?l=e I've put this model of watch successfully through 7 years of a military career and it is still going (albeit i've changed the band twice but thats more due to velcro wearing out, you can get a plastic clasp band if you like). Retails for about 40$ at a walmart. Have suggested it to dozens of recruits, all of whom have been satisfied with it and have not managed to break it. http://www.timex.ca/EXPEDITION-Chron...7C166.aspx?l=e I use one of these now as a field watch, haven't had it for long but seems like a good, durable watch and has that "tactical" appeal.

G-Shock solar. 115 shipped through amazon
Kinda hard to tell but it's an OD/FG color. image.jpg I have seen the original gshock on sale for 41 shipped with free supersaver shipping through amazon too, it's actually the one I was going to get but decided on the solar one in green. From wiki G-Shock is popular with mountaineers, firemen, paramedics, police officers, astronauts, film directors (Tony Scott was often pictured wearing a GW-3000B, as is Ron Howard and Francis Ford Coppola) and soldiers. Ex-Special Forces soldier Andy McNab mentions in several of his novels how his fictional character Nick Stone relies on a G-Shock watch. According to Mark Bowden's book Blackhawk Down, the DELTA Operators wore G-Shock watches during the combat events of 3rd & 4th October 1993. Since then, G-Shocks watches have become very popular with Special Forces groups in both American and other NATO nation units, due to their being "battle tested".

If you want excellent quality watches, check out Tactical Products Canada and try them out yourself. I wouldn't mind spending $500+ for a watch. |

the thing is Shirley i have no desire or need to wear a watch full time i only really need it for airsoft reasons (keeping track of bleed out, heading back to base or radio check ins at certian times, waking my ass up after my alloted sleep time those types of things)
I used to wear watches (for a cpl years) had a nice platinum and white gold Rolex that cost like 10 grand and had some cheap watches too but id often kill them skateboarding so i gave up on them. even sold the rolly to a buddy cause I never wore the damn thing. between cell phone and the car radio i dont have much of a use for a watch and im not really much of a fashionista type so again no need. Im prety sure im decided on the Gshock (tho ima check out the canadian stuff Jaroon posted) good price good durability and ha the baisic functions i need (ie it tells time lol, also the countdown feature will be handy for bleed outs and such) Again thanks all for the input

I have a G-shock that I received when I was in Grade 4, I think. I'm currently 22. It works amazingly still, only problem is the strap clasp broke a couple years ago, even though it's still wearable. I recently bought a Luminox and I'm very pleased with that as well. Either would come highly recommended by me.
