Hahaha.... I guess you didn't mention the excessive amount of drinking that would have gotten all of ASC's high functioning alcoholics into reconsidering their careers.

PS: I'm not a geographer, geologist or engineer. I'm kind of in between all of them and know almost nothing about a lot of things (rather than knowing a lot about almost nothing).

You must be more of a geographer than you claim, because not many people know that you can't out drink a geomorphologist. Hell, one of the two teachers is Scottish, and the other might as well be when it comes to scotch and whiskey. :)

Actually, I don't know if I'll end up as a geomorphologist, right now I'm working in the GIS lab, having 10 years of experience in system administration / web development sure helps. Biogeography is my main interest, but there's no demand for biogeographers nowadays. Geomorphology is fun, but a LOT of people want to get into it, so the competition is fierce.

Anyway, back to topic, what was it again? Oh yeah, ASC drinkers.

Oh i dont know the Broxxa + 50-100$ in parts = a pretty good gun IMO have had 1 for over a year now and it runs like a dream and the ROF is through the roof!

The only complaint i have with it is the plastic lower receiver its a POS and will eventually need a metal replacement

and that metal replacement will cost you 350-400 bucks where right off the hop you could have spent 500 and gotten a solid CA Mp5

What upgrades do you have on your Broxa, because isn't $50-100 a kinda small budget for upgrades that allow it to run like a dream?

All MP5 lowers are plastic/polymer, including real ones.

The accuracy is fine with the stock hop up rubber/unit? I've heard that the stock hop up sucks on the Broxa.

[QUOTE=L473ncy;1333714]Next time you go to an airsoft game ask if there will be an AV rep present beforehand or something. That way you don't need to run around on your own time (and the AV reps time since they're only volunteers) to get it done.

Sounds like you're 18 and your brother is younger? If so then no worries, as long as the gun is your property (ie. kept under your lock and key in storage) and he is supervised at all times with it then you'll be fine.

That said I believe the Kraken and Broxa are the "best" out of the Aftermath line. They're by no means the greatest and I would strongly suggest saving up around $300 each ($600) and getting something of better quality that you know will work. Hell you could even see if you could get a deal since you're buying for 2 people (maybe they're $400 each but if you buy two you could get them for $750 shipped or something).

AV definitely opens up a lot of possibility and you might even be able to snag a deal so maybe you'll want to rent the next time you go and then buy once your AV goes through. (PS: When you buy used, make sure that the person is reputable and you get good descriptions of the item, a lot of people have been getting burned because of things not being mentioned or something is wrong) Also buying locally and being able to see it first hand and test fire it is highly recommended.[/QU

Thanks thats a good idea, p.s. im 24 and my brother jus turned 18. Im an independant contractor and dont have a fixed work sceduel or fixed paycheques, plus im renovating my house, so i have a steady amount of money leaving my account, but since hes now 18 i wanted us to do something fun and active cuz COD is cool and all but it doesnt make you sweat.... jus some background info...

Plus if you can't rent a gun (our local field doesn't rent guns and I have yet to see a player there rent a gun) do you really want to spend huge cash on a gun when you are just getting into the sport and not sure if you will really like it?

Yes the aftermath guns are not the best but they will get you on the field playing and giving you an idea what its like. Then save some cash up and get something better for yourself and then you have a loaner gun to get your friends into it.
I think i met you at DMZ today.. thanks for the advice. I was the guy in the grey F150 who was covered in drywall dust cuz i just walked off a construction site...
