It does when applied properly. And an upside is that you can't accidentally pick a reflective camo tape. They're all extremely flat. (Fibers. Correct me if I'm wrong.) Whereas first-timers might choose a glossy spray paint.
EDIT: But do you mean apply the take, paint the gun then remove the tape? I haven't done this myself so I don't know too much. But as long as paint doesn't soak through it should work fine. |

It'll depend who you're talking about
And yes Vince, I did a proper job on the recce tape. No actual paint on that rifle. Just dirt and boot polish. Maybe some cam cream later when the blacks get worked in.

OK so I found this cheap spring shotgun lying around, so I painted it up, just for some experience, and to see how I may want to paint my sniper when I get around to getting it... Nothing special but anyways..

If I may, there's no 553 there, it's a 551. As for the masking, looks pretty much like pre cut masking tape that was put there kinda randomly. For the texture, depending on how you use the can and how you control the distance, flow and thickness, you can get that effect (my MRE is like that). Or it's really just a lot of noise in the picture hehe.
