Look what I got!

Good Evening ASC,
So earlier today I met up with Submarineman to get myself Age Verified, and I had been interested in buying a Sig 552 from someone online, but after chatting with Submarineman for a few minutes and then having the shopkeeper let me handle a couple of different M-4 airsoft guns, I fell in love again. I tried out a couple of different varieties but I got hold of a Classic Army Sportline Series M15A4 Tactical Carbine and immediately it was the one I wanted.
I had found a Load bearing vest at the Army Navy shop for 30 bucks, so I bought that and also bought the Classic Army airsoft gun.
So now, I am just waiting to get Age Verified, I was told it may take some time to get it approved but I'm in no hurry. I am now pretty much fully loaded for any games that may come.
As soon as I got back to my place, I had to go picture crazy, so everyone. Here are some pictures of my in my gear, and holding my new baby. I can't wait to upgrade her.

But the Sportline???? ehhh.....

Don't get me wrong, it's a good brand but from what I've heard the Sportline series is lacking from the regular CA series since it was only designed to compete against the cheaper clones on the market. I don't know, the last time I heard about the Sportline series was about 4-5 months ago so maybe they've upped the quality of the Sportline series these days.

As for the LBV, make sure it's nice and comfortable (and won't fall apart on you), I personally can't stand some of the cheaper $30 vests out there but you may find different and that one may be perfectly comfortable for you. You'll figure it out once you game a bit with it though. Some of these cheaper vests are crap quality and will break within a few games but there are some budget ones out there that are "airsoft quality" (meaning that they can be used to play airsoft but it's probably not good/tough enough for use in a real war).

This LBV was at one point in its life in use with the U.S army, and has all the army info on it, there was stuff there for 130 dollars,which I wouldn't have minded paying for, but it would not have fit me, as I am a bit of a smaller guy, and this one here was a bit worn, but fit comfortable and had all the pouches I needed

Might want to get some metal bushings and shims fir that gearbox. With both those u should be able to game with that gun for a while

I couldn't actually tell if it was new or used. But if it was surplus issued stuff then that's great. I would never pay for new issued stuff so I usually go with knock offs or used surplus (I got a full set of used Olive Drab for ~$45 from the local surplus store).

I'm a bit of a smaller guy as well and I buy "Asian Sized" stuff.

EDIT: To remove the flash hider you'll need a set of Allen/Hex keys. There should be a small hole for you to unscrew the flash hider, after that it's just a matter of buying a flash hider (some are simple but some can get pretty badass and cost a lot). Once in your hands get your Allen/Hex keys again, screw the flash hider on and when it's screwed on tighten the little hole with your Allen/Hex key. I'm not sure the size of the hole but it needs a smaller sized key to tighten and loosen it.

Sweet, thats a pretty good deal. I am looking to get a whole whack of different outfits, for depending what kind of terrain I'm on.
And I like how the MARPAT on my BDUs kinda blends with the old woodland style camo on my LBV. Looks pretty sweet..But I do have to say, from my pics...I kinda look like those enemy russians you see in Metal Gear..

Use Flat BBQ paint to cover that Flash Hider or even go the extra step and Poly stripper it first

I wouldn't really invest much time or money into a CA sportline, by the time you're done upgrading you'll want to upgrade to a metal body... From there you would have spent more than if you would have just bought the full metal one in the beginning, then upgraded it.

I'd limit the upgrades to your sport line to;

Prometheus Neo Strike Hop up chamber (can be used if you buy a proline CA m4)
Prometheus 6.03 Tightbore Barrel 363mm length (Can be used if you buy a proline CA m4)
Quality hop-up bucking (Firefly, Prometheus soft, guarder clear)

Bushings, and shims for your gears.

I was looking at attaching one of those M203's onto it, would you suggest that or wait?

For a new player that should be your least concern.

You need to get a PROPER charger (Not just the "smart" charger you plug into a wall and forget about it, something like a Duripeak Piranha, or an Intellepeak Ice, or IMAX B6),

2 good batteries

A proper set of GOOD combat boots, not just some cheap jungle boots from a surplus store, go to a proper tactical/police supply store and look at some boots by 5.11, Original Swat, Oakley and other good, reputable brands.

Think about a hydration system, you don't want to have to stop and take a drink from a water bottle every couple of minutes during a game, hydration set-ups are quick and easy.

Good, comfortable goggles that wont fog on you,

Magazines for your new gun (Buy quality mags, general the saying goes "You buy cheap, you buy twice")

And a case to transport it to games in

Hmm..Thank you for the info. I got myself a pair of Combat boots already, got a pair of Desert boots from when my old man went to the Golan Heights with the UN Peacekeepers. Those boots are some comfy, but I do plan on buying a couple other pairs of boots, and I will most definately look into that stuff you suggested
