Difference between GBBR and AEG

Hello, I've been looking for upgrade parts for my guns and I came across a question. I've been looking for it but couldn't find a direct answer to my question.

I know that GBBR use gas and AEG use electricity. So I assume the internal would be different.

But when it comes to externally upgrade... What's the difference?

For example: I've been looking for a different outer barrel length for my AEG and I found the perfect set with different attachment to fit me indoor and outdoor needs. But it's for GBBR... And that's where I got my question from...

So, is there a difference between GBBR and AEG labeled external upgrades parts?

Don't ask on ASC. There's lots of both in JOC. Go handle them side-by-side, and ask the owners directly. The quality of your answer in-person can't compare to an on-line answer.

Well I have never researched this one before. Though basic attachments like scopes and flashlights will be the same. Though I’m sure if the product says meant for a GBBR then its meant for a GBBR. It might also depend on the company too. Maybe that company only makes products for GBB guns. Also not everything is based on one company like for example TM, which a lot of company’s base there products on. But KWA 's or Classic Army the parts on them are Different to TM. So I’m not sure if this helps very much but I would suggest getting a product for an AEG if you have an AEG.

guess the people above arent helping you, I'll try my best.
GBBR external are mostly compatable with firearms with the exceptions on barrel, and inner assembly.
The barrel of GBBR is signifcantly different than aeg I suggest you search for something in the aeg field. all other external will work...if the rail/ mount as not different spec (some rail are molded badly and thus wont work with alot of accessories)
the grips and stock tube are something thats also not compatable. AEG have thicker grip, while GBBR is simply model after firearms ones. stock tube for the GBBR is for recoil spring on m4/m16 while AEG could be used to store battery.

So what your saying(kullwarrior) is that, GBBR external parts can withstand more stress than a basic AEG with no blow back right?

So wouldn't it be good to have an GBBR outer barrel instead of using AEG outer barrel for an AEG due to the durability?

completly different design, a gbbr barrel will not fit in an aeg body and vis versa from what i have seen
an aeg outer barrel is like this
http://www.ebairsoft.com/m4a1-alumin...er-p-2561.html
and this would be a gbbr outer barrel

I think I would suggest the same advice as Mcguyver. I would say, go and see the barrel and see if it would match up, or ask the seller. Anyway, just my $02

Some rails will work...some stocks will work...some gas blocks/front sights will work. Most flashhiders will work.

I don't see why an AEG mag release wouldn't work...but haven't tried that part.

Anything that will fit a 20mm rail will fit a 20mm rail.

Everything else inside and outside is different.

Delta rings, ras units etc, work regardless of AEG and GBBR's Ive tried it.

Outer Barrels are 100% not compatable.

GBBR are not for noobs ... It's not something easy anyone can use, it needs a lot of care , especially the mags. If you are tight on budget, do NOT think about GBBR. Each mags are like 40-50$ (good ones) ... Though, upgrades seems to be easier and also, GBBR gives players more realism because of the blow back effect which is indeed awsome. Accessories and attachements are the same.

kjw gbbr which comes to reality and blowback functions this one really kicks. The feel is different though the fps is also differrent the fps on gbbr rely on gas use 134a gas or Green gas (propane). WHile the AEG is electric, you have to have good piston, motor and some o rings and good gears to make higher FPS. Adjusting fps would be a great deal because some games require low fps some requires high fps.but in the end it is you who will be the one to use, Anyway I owe agbbr kjw and wanted to have a back up aeg.
