Hey there, Airsoft in Canada is 18+, so if you're under 18 you will have a very difficult time playing airsoft in Canada.

Secondly, you will not be able to bring any of your guns with you, Certain laws in Canada prohibit the importation of "replica firearms" (things that look like guns) by civilians. Trying to do so will get them confiscated and destroyed.

While that may be the case, Airsoft is definitely active up here. Maybe not as much in other places, but were here.

Where i live, airsoft isnt That big, but our games can have 15-50 people. Usually we go from around 10-11:00AM to 5:00 PM.

FPS rules differ from club to club, much like game fields, and even length. So it all depends where you are. You can most likely find a club near you here: http://www.airsoftcanada.com/forumdisplay.php?f=22

good luck!

Go BC for the climate and if you don't like freezing your ass off in the winter but Ontario if you want the education. IMO Ontario has a better education system than BC.

Note however, once there's an inch of snow in BC (on the coast) people just forget how to drive properly. In the interior it isn't much of a problem (cause it goes down to -30/40 in the winter) but it's like no one has ever seen snow before and everything they've learnt about driving goes out the window.

Outdoor games are usually shut down during the late fall to early spring months because it's too cold (Season ended around late Oct to early Nov in Southern Alberta this year).

Games can be from 10-50+-300+ people depending on the game, ie. general scrims every second week vs the odd local milsim vs "national" milsims (eg. Border Wars, Cold Front/Keystone etc.).

Games might start at 10-12 and usually end around 4-6. There are some "night games" in Vancouver during the summer (6 to around 10/11).

This poll will be strongly biased, due to the fact that majority of the frequent-posters here are from Eastern Canada.

I'm in Nova Scotia, very east, but I'll vote BC just to help BC out.

However, Latency provides a great answer as usual. I believe there is a large thriving airsoft community in Ontario, but (as Latency says) BC has the weather advantage. BC is just beautiful, Ontario is more like the USA - in the developed areas anyway.

Down in the real Eastern Canada here (Eastern Canada is not Ontario!!!!!) we also have a small but thriving airsoft community. We had a game yesterday with about 18-20 guys showing up. That is good considering we had the remains of Hurricane Ida yersterday!

I absolutely love Ontario. Sure it snows here, but it's amazing. And when winter comes around just move indoors and play, but that might be hard with your sniping style of playing.

I'm from Quebec, and Quebec is of course better... but since I assume you don't speak french, it may not be a good choice.

I voted for BC because it's just a beautiful place to be if you love outdoors. If you want snow, the rockies aren't that far (depending on where you'd settle) but you get the favorable west coast climate.

But honestly, this is a pretty superficial response, so it would depends on what are your criterias.

in terms of player base and venues, doesn't Ontario come in first with regards to airsoft?

well, if you are choosing you're destination entirely based on Airsoft, then there's a huge problem right there.

If you are still in school, prioritize your education/life benefits over your Hobby.

There is no doubt it has the largest airsoft population in Canada by far.

But, as you ( I mean the poster - streetsk8r14) can see, where ever in Canada that you go you can find airsoft....If there are people at all.

sort out where your moving first then find out what is going on where your moving. deciding where to live based on airsoft is just silly (I know you are just gathering "intel" but still) . airsoft is alive and well in both places and both have different rules, locations, member count, ect ect.

my 2cents on that

but I say southern BC for the weather if you want snow it's only a short drive away and not in your driveway.
