starting cqb

hey so i played outdoor this summer and now that its getting colder were moving to indoor soon. my aeg is shooting 400fps so i got a shotgun for indoor and i was also looking for a good pistol. right now i have the c11(i know ppl dont like it) id prefer a different handgun to use as mabey my primary for cqb or in general a backup. im totally new to pistols and i was just wondering what you pistol experts would suggest. i like the usp compact, but glocks r always good as well. also i dont want to be spending mad cash on a crazy good pistol, just a standard good pistol. Also, my shotgun is the crosman s34p(i know and i dont want to hear about it lol) thats y i need the pistol. so my shotgun is like messed. it started to shoot 3 bbs, and they shot surpirsingly good, but all of a sudden after i put around 2 shells in it its now shooting 6bbs and i cant return it so it actually might be better for indoor, but ive never played and dont know what to expect. So any advice on should i go pistol primary or not and what pistol to get would be greatly apppreciated.

If you're going to go pistol for primary it seems like it's better to go with TM.

I have a KSC G19 and that's great as a backup. The KSC Glocks are the best Glocks on the market (or at least I'd like to think so). This is based on reviews that I've read. There's only one Glock that KSC "failed" on and I believe it's the G17 or G18, anyway it's one of those.

That's actually pretty cool that your shotgun shoots 6 BB's at a time.

All in all it seems like the KSC Glock series is probably your best bet as it's usually a bit cheaper and a decent performer too and should tide you over until the outdoor season opens up.

To be honest, pistols are king indoors. They're pointy, very handy, and can get good accuracy. Stock, out of the box, they shoot just fine, even on propane. Take a look at other 'newbie' threads to find which brand you think suits you best.

For glocks, or the usp, KSC is a good place to look. Glocks are very simple to use, it's easy to find kit for them, and they are so very common to find parts for. And you have a whole range of sizes and styles and features to choose from.

As for the USP, I use a USP compact to great effect. It's incredibly comfortable in your hand, has a great feel to it when shooting, and does everything a modern autoloader should. Unfortunately, I have had trouble with the trigger breaking. I'm not sure if the new system 7 has fixed this or not. However, you can get a really cool USP compact with a threaded barrel, raised front and rear sights, in system 7 with a metal slide straight out of the box from KSC. As far as accessories are concerned, there are a number of options, but you'll have to look a little harder for them. The USP has become more common in the last while, as well, so part aren't as difficult to come across.

A TM Hi-Capa, however, is probably one of the best bets for a workhorse pistol. I've used one a little, but from trusted testimony from team-mates and other players, it's quite simply the most robust, most accurate, with a plethora of after-market parts. You wouldn't want to, or need to upgrade to metal slide until you've literally broken it. So keep that in mind when choosing a pistol.

However, outside of the pistol world, there are many options still available. An mp-5, or a p90, a short m4, or a shotgun work wonders in close corridors. The AEGs would have a better magazine capacity, which can come in handy. However, a lot of the time, up close, the first shot will determine whether or not you've won the fight. This isn't to say that prolonged firefights don't happen, but ammo capacity becomes an issue in longer lasting scenarios, and games. So keep that in mind, if you know what sort of games you'll be attending.

Good luck with the indoor shooting, it's a lot of fun. Get a holster, at least 3 total mags, some good gloves and full face protection, and you're set to go. You don't need much more to be effective indoors. Keep fast and light, and be smart about it!

what ever you do, resist the "cool factor" of the Deagle. I find this thing too big OUTSIDE I would not want to CQB with it lol.

The C11? is that the Mac 11 clone that runs on C02? Just paint it black and get some propane mags. It's a force to be reckoned with in CQB.

I have to agree on this. I ran 2 Ingrams on propane for 2 years indoors and that was the best combination going. 2 might be a little much but when you have 48 rounds and they have 20, do the math!

KJW's are hit and miss. I have a full metal M9 and some of their cansoft guns. Mainly, their mags aren't so great (tend to leak and sometimes picky about the way you fill them). If you're thinking about the cansoft ones, I'd say definitely dish out the extra cash for something else (especially since you're AV'ed).

If you want a workhorse pistol that will shoot great stock for a while, Buy a TM high-capa.

If and when something does go wrong with it, theres a fantastic amount of after market parts available for them.

Personally, I like the 4.3 more then the 5.1, but they are essentially the same pistol.
