JG M4 takedown info
Please write as though you are addressing a 12 year old.
I am 19 but know next to nothing about airsoft rifles. Only pistols, sadly. I just ordered the CQB version of the M4 (the one with the battery in the stock, rather than above the barrel) and I was wondering... I live in a TINY apartment, and I want to be able to take the gun apart for storage, as I don't airsoft very often. To break it down into small pieces, how hard is it? Is it designed to take down easily with one of two screws and pins, or is it alot of work? Pictures would be awesome. Im a bit of a newbie with rifles (always been a pistol guy) so if someone wants to walk me through it I would be grateful. Cheers, -ethan. |

Please review this video on mechbox.com
Although the M4 being taken apart may not be exactly the same as yours, it will be a good video to watch to give you an idea as to how to disassemble your M4. http://www.mechbox.com/m4m16/m733-disassembly.html For simple storage, I would recommend removing the front and rear reliever pins and separating the two halves of the gun to store. Its less complex than taking the whole thing apart and then putting it back together when you want it.

In the video, even though the pins are taken out, the 2 pieces are help together by a wire. Will the JG have that? And if it does, is there any way of separating the two halves fully? Last edited by MoreToasties; September 14th, 2009 at 22:41.. |

Here's [1 Internet Point].
And for the AR question: Red = Pin. Some unscrew while other you have to pop out (like the real thing). |

Since you stated that your M4 has the battery stored in the stock , you will not have the issue of front wiring.

Just out of curiosity, Where do you live? And where did you order your gun from?
