Right, I get the basic of take her apart and wipe it all down, but what I'm wondering is what you guys use to relube them and I'm assuming whatever it is is used in small amounts. (We are talking pistols)

I use 100% silicone oil for everything. Mags, slide, everything! It's a little messy but I've found it to be not as sticky as other lubes when it comes to dirt and shit.

I also use 100% silicon oil. You can use a heavier weight oil than what you use for your propane mags. The heavier the weight, the less likely that it will seep out all over the place. (although it still will but slower)
Oil/lube all moving parts and any parts that show some wear. |

I grease the rails (light coating...nothing blobby) and the top of the hammer mech housing (there's usually quite a bit of surface riding back and forth there).
I've tried MSO2 (molybendum disulphide), powdered graphite, graphite spray, silicone grease....they're all pretty messy (except silicone grease)...ended up using plain old white lithium grease. I also grease the lugs of my HiCapa's...messy on the chamber but it helps. Otherwise I just oil my mags/gas and that oil takes care of lubing everything else. Tys |
