FPS upgrades for G&G GR16A3 and Kraken AK47

hello everyone, I want to know if there are any upgrades for both of these guns. I am intending on using .25g rounds with both because of its precision, but it signifagantly lowered both guns FPS rating and range. but I also know that FPS is not everything. If anyone can tell me if these guns can be upgraded to shoot at a longer range, with what and HOW, please do. Thanks everyone!

Change the spring, easy as that. And 0.25's should INCREASE you effective range, not lower it, unless you're shooting below 280 or so.

I don't know about the GR16 but the Kraken already shoots plenty hot. The rule of thumb is every .05g above .20g causes a 30fps drop. Since the Kraken already shoots at about 370fps, even with .25's you're going to be shooting 340fps. That's still very respectable. I have a Kraken as a backup/loaner and I run .25's, I don't plan to make it shoot any hotter.

Most stock guns, especially the higher end guns, only shoot 280-320fps with .20's out of the box so you've still got miles over them. The lesser fps with .25's is deceptive anyway. Yeah it does result is slightly less range but not as much of a drop as you'd expect and it's much more accurate inside of that range. So basically you're trading a slightly shorter maximum range for a greater effective range.

nope not gonna happen maximum range for AEG's are 150-200 feet

still that is plenty good if you compare to other things, just as an example the paintball gun at 30-50feet crazy deviation lol

Agreed. 150 yards is about the max effective range for the average .22lr rifle. Never happen with an AEG. I get guys are our field every big game who think they can shoot in the hundreds of yards, then get a smack down on our measured 150' firing range and most barely make that accurately. Some can barely hit the 100' marker consistantly.
