A question about spring based guns for CQB

well, after my mp7 thread, i decided not to get the tf7 cause u guys said it was shitty, good thing because my friend bought it and it broke 2 days later....
so, im looking for a cheap little spring gun besides a pistol for cqb, every1 says spring guns r the most reliable, i hope...

I don't think a spring gun is really what you want for CQB.

I wouldnt go so far to say that spring guns are the most reliable, then again they are essentially the least complex, I suppose one would assume, less parts equals less issues, not always the case but I believe I understand what youre getting at.

A springer for CQB, anyone with an GBB or even an AEP would easily out gun you due to the fact that you can only fire as fast as you can recock your spring, but since your asking about a springer, I will provide you information about springers.

TokyoMauri makes great quality spring guns however they are few and far between and difficult at best to aquire at best, atleast in Canada, they have pistols, but actually now that I think about it there is a fair amount of TM shotguns out there as well.

HFC is another company that has spring guns, the majority of them are fairly decent for the most part, unfortunetly I believe they only do pistols.

Theres a large group of lower end companies out there that make spring based single BB firing shotguns and a few that make multi BB firing shotguns, all spring based of course.
quality varies with price and availability in Canada at this time is hard to say. Which ones are the best out of the group? Its hard to say, with the lower end companies quality control is not really a huge thing, one person can buy a gun and it will perform fine, another will buy the exact same model and it will break with in days.

If you are interested this website has a process called age verification, where if you are 18 or older you can meet with a volunteer representative of this website who will meet with you in person, there is no way around this, no phone, no webcam, in person only, where they will require to see a legitimate piece of photo identification. After the process is completed, it can take sometime as this is all volunteer work, you will be granted access to this websites buy and sell section, where you can find both new and used guns as well as parts, for fair and competitive prices. Although it’s not always the case, it is sort of an open market. However age verification is only required to purchase from ASC buy and sell and any of its retailers and a few other non ASC based Canadian sites. I you are not interested in age verification then you will have to do your own ground work to find an airsoft gun.

I used my CT crossman shotty at an outdoor game this past weekend. Although it had enough range, it's accuracy from shot to shot is near impossible to maintain while running on a field plus the wind factor. Forget the fact that when you recock, you will not be pointing the barrel in the exact same direction to hit the same mark twice.

Pinning an opponent behind oil drums is possible. Taking them out when their head pops up near/almost impossible. This was at <150 feet.

I can't even imagine CQB'ing it with AEG's or GBB's. If it was an all springer CQB, then sure.

When people say spring guns are the most reliable they're generally referring to spring sniper rifles.

But on the other hand those clear shotguns (Magazine fed ones) are half decent.

I honestly would have thought that after your last thread you would have learned that "cheap" and "airsoft" does not go together. For a playable gun you're really looking at $200 MINIMUM, and that's for a kraken which will need some work to make it reliable, and no guarantee they'll work out of the box. Instead of spending $100 on a springer, why don't you save and get a G&G or something you can actually game reliably with. If you can't afford that, then you can't afford airsoft. I'm sorry but that's the reality.

If you want a cheap springer that will allow you to be competitive, go get one of those clear shotties from Walmart. For the price, they're impossible to beat. They're reliable, have good range, and are fairly accurate, especially for CQB. Their magazines hold enough rounds, and you can pump and fire them quickly enough to be competitive in a game.

Spring pistols are shit for gaming and only really useful as a secondary when playing in the cold where GBBs won't work.

That Shotgun in Walmart contrary to popular belief of crapsoft is actually gameable

I borrowed my friends when my battery died. I thought it would blowup but it worked quite well especially the multiple BB shot.

I would say if you actually want to game a springer go for the Walmart Shotgun I think its in a blue packaging called the Smith and Wesson or something.

actually i used to own one of those s&m walmart shotguns, i just forgot about it, it was actually pretty good but the mag is the shittiest peice of work ever.
i will save my money for a TM AEG if thats the best way to go.

now that i think about it, this thread is really stupid, why get a rifle version of a spring pistol? pistols r smaller and easy to handle anyways, this thread kinda pointless... ty for feedback tho guys

The ones around here are single shot, but you can pump them 2 or 3 times and they will shoot 2 or 3 pellets. Good enough

and i own a crosman shotty that looks like a spas12, i always thought it was shitty... ok the body is ruined but internals still works (110 fps on .20 LOL) , i tried to break it by slam firing it like a moron and it never died, lol it was smelling heated plastic...
