Which piston to use?
Hi, I was wondering what is the difference between a full-teeth vs a half-teeth piston. I'm not sure what to buy, i was wanting to upgrade my mp5j. And which brand would you prefer?
Thanks, Carl Last edited by Defcon_Carl; December 22nd, 2008 at 02:11.. |

You'll need the full-teeth version. Half-teeth are only required for special helical gear sets.

Half-tooth pistons are only required for half-tooth gear sets, which are of extremely high torque varieties. Examples are: - Systema Ultra Torque Up - Systema Infinite Torque Up - Prometheus MAX Torque. These gear sets also happen to have helical teeth, but that is not the reason why you need a half tooth piston. There are plenty of other helical tooth gear sets that run fine with full-tooth pistons. |

Yeah, sorry if that caused any confusion. That's what I meant when I said "special helical gear sets".
