My Custom WA 1911/2011's
First Up, my Western Arms 1911a1
built custom by WGC. PGC metal kit, metal chamber, all the fixin's. Grips were inspired by The Devils Rejects, and the main character Otis. He uses a classic Colt 1911 at the end of the movie, riding into a hail of bullets, while Freebird plays. Enjoy— http://s210.photobucket.com/albums/b...t=IMG_2816.jpg Thanks to nierbie, for bringing my custom grips to life. See my other thread for more shots of the grips he recently produced for me. More Pics of my other WA's soon. Last edited by safx; September 18th, 2009 at 16:31.. |

Kimber Custom
A few current pics of my WA Kimber TLE/RL2
project. Awaiting a full-length recoil rod, SD silver barrel, and SD Kimber metal chamber. The metal kit is by Creation, the anodized OD finish on the slide/frame is quite nice. The badly cut Kimber logo on the slide is not, uhg. Not quite sure why Creation could engrave all the text so nicely and then use a fat tool to obliterate much of Kimber's logo detail. |

I like the choice of color combo....always wondered how it might look to have a silvered back strap on a black gun...that is black though no?

slide parts swapped out for Kimber-esk ones. The colour is a subdued green-blue, like dark evergreen. It's hard to capture because it looks different in different light. The blue metal parts make it appear more blue, while yellow wood grips bring out more green tone. My super pimp Colt up later tonite Last edited by safx; September 18th, 2009 at 16:35.. |

Those are the single most ornate and sexy grips I've ever seen. Who makes those chrome grips?

I'm fairly certain the grips are stock WA
ones from the gold premium model. TMC either chose those or plated the stock burnished ones to match the stock chrome controls. Last edited by safx; December 22nd, 2008 at 01:25.. Reason: Cut down |
