CA m15 Outer barrel Removal?

so Im working on my project gun and just bought a used metal CAm15 body BUT, TANK gave it to me with the 20" barrel that is almost fuking impossible to remove...its different than my KWA's barrel assembly/dissasembly design.

How do I take it off? screw the star shaped thing counterclockwise, and when its off the barrel comes out? please help.

Yes. The star shaped inner ring is turned CCW and removed from the upper receiver. You should be then able to pull the barrel straight out from the upper. Some barrels are tight fits into the upper receiver and need a couple of taps from the inside of the upper, a long stick/dowel works well.

The delta ring can be extremely tight. Try using a large pair of channel lock pliers, with a towel to protect the ring. Or an armourers wrench makes it ridiculously easy.

TANK...is TANK

ok thanks, I already tried taking it off with needle nose but no luck, on my other m4 (KWA) it worked but this fucker is tight.

il try the towel and massive plier technique, il also try one person holding the body the other twisting....that should work..

cheers...

Careful...metal bodies aren't that strong. Try some penetrating oil (i.e. 10w40) and letting that sit for a bit.

Also...using big pliers with two pieces of soft wood (i.e. pine) on the teeth give the ring something to bite into.

You might want to check with TANK to see if he didn't do something silly and threadlock it....

nope I didn't thread lock it, but I bought it second hand so I can't say for sure. I know that sucker is on good I can't even take it of with my monstrous troll hands. I bought it originally from Field_Gunner i think.
